Not a bad Oktoberfest. Tried at the Beer Corner celebration in Omaha in 2016. Expected something a little more hoppy considering the brewery, but this was pretty standard. Malty sweet and mild. chinchill (4985) - South Carolina, USA - DEC 13, 2015
On tap at the Brevard brewery Tasty Weasel taproom during the 3rd Anniversary celebration.
O: I’ve had a bunch of marzen beers, almost all German thanks to an advent beer calendar. This US version is as least as good as any of them and definitely better than most. Great balance and more flavor than average. Highly drinkable and no doubt great with food, but I have to guess because it was gone before my food arrived. kaser (6312) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - NOV 1, 2014
Very dark red with white head. Has a malty earthy and carmel flavor. Slight cherry taste too. Really good. Had this poured from draft at Whole Foods lincoln park. crossovert (12874) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - NOV 1, 2014
Draft. Amber pour. Tan/off white head. Smell is toasted malt, mail lard reaction, caramel. Flavor is earthy, some medicinal, some staleness, sweetness, grape. All over the place. Patrickctenchi (6586) - Cox’s Knob, columbus, Indiana, USA - OCT 9, 2014
Clear copper with a small, off-white head.
Light caramel scent, nutty.
Taste is standard Oktoberfest fare, just very light and airy feeling.
Soft, but tasty.

Draft. Nutty toffee malt and straw aroma. Amber with moderate head. Sweet toffee malt and moderately bitter hay flavor. Nice solid beer. sonnycheeba (5988) - Federal Hill, Baltimore, Maryland, USA - JAN 11, 2014
Tap at brewery. Pours clear dark copper with fizzy off-white head. Aroma is toasted and caramel malts, light floral notes, dates, and faint raisins. Flavor is toasted malts forward with caramel, toffee, light grassy hop bitterness, and some dark fruit sweetness; semisweet finish that dries out. Light/medium body and medium carbonation. snoworsummer (5693) - baltimore, Maryland, USA - JAN 11, 2014
Draft at the Tasty Weasel. Pours almost clear copper brown with a thin, fizzy off white head. Tastes like malt, nutty, bready, syrupy. Medium body and low carbonation. Very faint aroma of malt. bu11zeye (13029) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - APR 8, 2012
(Draught) Pours a copper body with a medium off-white head. Aroma of florals, citrus, grass, and grain. Flavor of citrus, grain, nuts, grass, and caramel. drunkenpolack (319) - Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA - FEB 1, 2012
Marzens are not my favorite kind of style of beer but I enjoyed this one and would easily drink a pint or two. Crisp, toasty, malty, with a slight undertone of fruit. Nice drinkable brew.
