COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This AmeriCAN take on the Belgian Classic Wit, featuring orange peel and coriander spice emanated from the basement blues music legacy Dave McIntyre (Oskar Blusologist) built at the original Oskar Blues Grill & Brew in Lyons, CO. On draft for over a decade, Priscillas zesty citrus and light fresh baked bread aromas mix with spicy, fruity fermentation. Light bodied with a subtle savory spice accent and a dry, lightly tart finish you can nearly feel the flicker of the neon and sounds of the King. White Wit Wheat.

Can as pictured. Had a mellow witbier aroma about it. Was hoping for a mild wit bier as described on the can but its another wheat ale fer sure. Good co2 sizzle throughout. Does look like a wit bier, but the taste is quite forward, a somewhat irritating ale effect; bitter, slightly medicinal, yah know? In the end it does come across almost refreshing but never quite gets there.

Golden opaque with a frothy white lasting head. Aromas of wheat bread, coriander and orange-lime peel/zest develops. Fine carbonation, bright body, light slickness offering a little spiced sweetness and developing tart bit acidic bitterness moving along the palate. Medium finish.

tfredvik (1912) - Oslo, NORWAY - MAY 6, 2017
Hazy, pale golden body with a large, creamy, off-white, long-lived head that sticks to the glass. Crisp and strong aroma of coriander, citrus, delicious Belgian yeast, fruits, wheat and black pepper. Strong flavour that follows the aroma with additional notes of apple in the back. Light sweet and light to moderate bitter taste. Mid-bodied, watery texture, moderate carbonation. Nice!

150417. The thing that I like about this beer is the big peppery finish. It kind of creeps up on you as it is not there in the initial flavour but it packs a powerful bit of spiciness in the finish. Malty and citrusy in the aroma with a light straw colour and a soft white head. I picked this can up on line from Bucket Boys. Sometimes Belgian wits can be a little bit hit and miss but this one is more hit than miss. This is a beer that I can see myself searching out again.
