This AmeriCAN take on the Belgian Classic Wit, featuring orange peel and coriander spice emanated from the basement blues music legacy Dave McIntyre (Oskar Blusologist) built at the original Oskar Blues Grill & Brew in Lyons, CO. On draft for over a decade, Priscillas zesty citrus and light fresh baked bread aromas mix with spicy, fruity fermentation. Light bodied with a subtle savory spice accent and a dry, lightly tart finish you can nearly feel the flicker of the neon and sounds of the King. White Wit Wheat.

150417. The thing that I like about this beer is the big peppery finish. It kind of creeps up on you as it is not there in the initial flavour but it packs a powerful bit of spiciness in the finish. Malty and citrusy in the aroma with a light straw colour and a soft white head. I picked this can up on line from Bucket Boys. Sometimes Belgian wits can be a little bit hit and miss but this one is more hit than miss. This is a beer that I can see myself searching out again.

Can. Pours a slightly hazy yellow gold body with a small fizzy white head that vanished quickly. The nose is pretty typical Wit, some coriander and orange peel with wheat and light yeastiness. The flavor is pretty standard as well. Pretty balanced between the coriander and the citrusy notes, a little light on the yeast for my tastes in the style, with a lingering coriander finish. Light bodied with soft fizzy carbonation. Pretty well a textbook Wit, a solid example of the style.
