Ungstrup (38384) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - MAR 19, 2010
Draft. A golden beer with a lazing off-white head. The aroma has notes of malt and caramel as well as lighter notes of butter. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and butter, that makes the finish sweet as well as dry.

UPDATED: JUL 10, 2010 On tap at the brewpub. Served too cold. Clear, golden with a small off-white head. The aroma has the typical OMB-character, Malty and fruity, with caramel, some burnt hints, hops and sour notes. The flavor has caramel, some sourness and hops, and a sugary sweetness. Medium body and decent bitterness in the finish. Maybe a bit too gassy. Decent beer, nothing more. Rating: 5-3-5-3-11-2.7. 060827

On tap at the brewpub. A clear, golden beer with a minimal-sized white head. The aroma is fruity with some malty sweetness, bearing that typical butter-like house character. The flavor is pretty much the same, fruity and malty, caramel and a buttery touch. Quite low on bitterness, also in the finish. Medium body, smooth. A rather boring one, but it drinks easy. 100313

On tap at OMB. Deep golden colour with a white head. Aroma is fruit, malt. Flavour is sweet, butterscotsch, malt, fruit, hop. Ordinary beer.

Rune (13506) - Tromsø, NORWAY - NOV 17, 2007
Pint on tap at the brewpub (5,8% ABV). Served at the right drinking temperature (this time). Slightly foggy brown body with no head. Sweet aroma of caramel and toffee. Quite enjoying flavour of dried fruits and fresh figs mixed with hints of honey sweetness. A light touch of bitterness towards the end. Typical OMB- carbonation. This is not a beer I would call a Dortmunder/Helles. Consumed in good company and splendid atmosphere after a board meeting in Oslo (13.11.2007).

On tap at he pub: Color yellow with light yellow head. Toffee aroma and taste. Bitter finish. Nice beer.

Sigmund (7910) - Tau, NORWAY - AUG 29, 2006
On tap at the brewpub. Served too cold. Deep golden colour, slightly hazy. Moderate head. Strong (and I mean REALLY strong) aroma of butterscotch / diacetyl - some hate it but I like it! Flavour is moderately malty with some butterscotch notes, some hops in the finish, but not very interesting.

3.2
KnutAlbert (6791) - Oslo, NORWAY - MAY 3, 2006
UPDATED: AUG 8, 2006 Extra points for nostalgia here. A fine strong lager that echoes the strong beers in Norway some 25 years ago. Pronounced malt character and a hoppy finish. (rerate Aug 06)

thebeertourist (5189) - Oslo, NORWAY - APR 23, 2006
On tap at the brewpub.Hazy orange with a small white head. Sweet, fruity aroma (maybe I could have said more had the beer been served at cellar temperature). Sweet flavours, developing towards toffee, kept in balance by fruity hoppiness. Good carbonation, medium body. A refreshing beer for the Norwegian spring with more to it than you might expect from a lager.

From [email protected] Brewbub. Brilliant golden body, low offwhite head. Soft, mellow, quite sweet malt aroma. Very soft with a distinct malty sweet flavor as well. Subdued hop bitterness. Oily, bordering on buttery in the mouth. A tad too far on the sweet side, but overall a decent Dortmunder Export,.

Draught at <a href=http://www.ratebeer.com/Place/norway/o target=blank>Oslo Mikrobryggeri in Oslo, Norway. Orange-amber in colour, lasting white coloured head, lacing around the top of the glass. The aroma is sweet, some pale malts, lightly sour, some floral hops. The flavour is quite sweet (borderline overpowering), pale malts, floral hops, some honey. Bitter mouthfeel, medium body, medium carbonation. Finishes with a moderate bitterness with some honey. Not to bad, a bit sweet though.
