355ml bottle (Punavuoren Ahven, Helsinki)Ratman197 (14848) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - SEP 24, 2012
Super fruity aroma - citrussy and piney. Rich orange, tight head. Very fizzy palate, needed loads of swirling to make it drinkable. Then it was malty and fruity. Very drinkable and refreshing, crisp even. Very nice fresh hoppy beer, shame it was so fizzy.
Bottle poured a clear orange amber with a lasting creamy amber head. Aromas of biscuit, pine, grapefruit and light tangerine. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of biscuit, pine, light grapefruit and a hint of tangerine with a smooth dry lightly bitter finish. Drake (13740) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - SEP 20, 2011
12 ounce bottle from Badger in Beloit. If Beloit, Wisconsin has a better beer store, I’d be surprised. Then again, Beloit College REJECTED me so I don’t exactly have an encyclopedic knowledge of the town. Pours a hazy amber color with a very large frothy offwhite head. Good head retention and lacing. Slightly green floral hop aroma with a bit of a chlorine note. The taste is candied citrus, chemical notes, faint malts. Tastes weird. Kinda like how I’d expect windshield cleaner to taste. The palate starts strong but instantaneously falls flat. This is just a weird beer.
Dogbrick (13019) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - FEB 20, 2011
This beer pours a clear orange color with a medium fluffy off-white head that evaporates slowly. Sticky rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of piney hops and sweet malt. Medium body with a moderately bitter hops character with notes of pine and caramel malt. The finish is resiny hops with a short pine aftertaste. Decent overall. crossovert (12934) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JAN 18, 2014
Just not a great example of a pale ale, had it on draft, abosolutely no hop character, deyholla (11605) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - MAY 22, 2015
Bottle. Pours a clear gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges slowly. Aroma has light citrus and grass backed by a sweet grain backbone. Flavor has grain with a slight sweetness and a decent amount of grass that has a touch of bitterness. rosenbergh (11532) - Tampere, FINLAND - JAN 2, 2016
12 oz bottle. At the Konttori, Tampere, Finland.
Clear amber color with a small to midsize bubbly off-white head.
Candy and fruity hops, mild bitterness, sweetness, butterscotch and some maltiness in the aroma.
The flavor is tea, dry resiny hops, mild bitterness, mild buttery notes and malt. Decent pale ale. Not a typical American brew.
