Tap at Oso. Pitch black body. Foamy beige head. Big sweet brown coffee aroma. A pretty solid coffee porter. Quite sweet, thick, sugary. Roast, coffee, chocolate. Big coffee flavors for sure, but kind of a one-dimensional backdrop. OK. kkleu357 (640) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - APR 29, 2014
Glass at the brewery. Very tasty. Lot’s of coffee flavor. One of my favorite stouts at O’so. You get big amounts of coffee in the taste, some mild flavors of vanilla and alcohol. I like coffee flavored beers, which you must to enjoy this one. troyc (2869) - Illinois, USA - APR 10, 2014
[Tap] Tried at taproom back in March. Dark black pour with lasting ring of brown colored foam. Big espresso and vanilla nose. Taste is heavy on coffee too, with distinct vanilla and some ligher amounts of ash. More roasty than creamy. You gotta really love coffee, cause there is a lot in here! On tap at the brewery. Extreme aroma of bitter and dry coffee. Taste is much the same - reminds me of Furthermore Oscura. madvike (3306) - Middleton, Wisconsin, USA - JAN 25, 2014
On tap at the Tap House - Pours deep cola with a thin tan ring of head. Nose is huge coffee goodness--roasty and pungent with vanilla and a little hazelnut. Taste is a little too much coffee, and it comes off acidic and overroasted. Pretty harsh, a little milky, and too strong to let much of the base beer come through. Long, roasty finish. Smooth and creamy body with nice carbonation.
