The second you open this bottle there is no mistaking that this is not your average IPA. Massive hop additions of the most obnoxious breeds put this taste bud burner in a league all its own. Our bet is that you will think it is Oso Freakishly good! Caution! This brew is 9% and may contain a hop cone in every bottle (2009 to present vintages) ! We want to make sure to repeat this reminder that we put a hop cone in the bottle. Always pour into a glass to release the essence from the bottle.

2008 Edition: 22-oz bottle
2009 Edition: 12-oz bottles w/hop cone in bottle

Bottle at Pub Winston. Dark amber color, small white head, lace. Strong fruity hoppyness in the nose. Even overriped banana. Medium-bodied. Overriped sweet flavor. Late bitterness. A bit gimmicky with hop flower. Quite sweet dipa.

Bottle. Hazy copper colour with a scant head and the promised hop cone. Big hop aroma with a sweet malt background. Similar for the taste, a bit sweet and sticky, I suspect this bottle may be past its best as is quite flat.

(Bottle, 0.355 l - BB 31/10/2016 - importers sticker, at Kaisla, 20160108) The beer poured amber and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had tangerine, fruitiness and malts. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were tangerines, fruitiness, resin, sweetness, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was hoppy and bitter. A bit unpleasant hoppy pale ale. Hoppiness lacked balance.

From a 12 oz bottle. Poured an orange amber color with a solid frothy head like water over a Wisconsin River dam. Smells like hops, hops, & hops. Citrusy grapefruit/lime. Has a medium/full mouth feel and I think I detect an ever so slight malt presense at the finish. The hop cone in bottle is kinda cool and I like this beer

Decent nose and pretty enough, this potentially potent beer hidez its alcohol well. Structurally its a bit flacid but its not bad and that hop cone gimick is hard to resist for any hophead.

bottle. Amber clear. Boozy caramelly bit barleywiney nose. Hoppy citrus, some grapefruits. Nuts. Full med bodied. Sweetness, lots of bitters for balance tho, drinks quite well. Bitter piney overcooked caramels, some yeasty dirt dough. A bit, messy, but flavourful, iipa bordering on a barley wine.

olio (9749) - Tampere, FINLAND - DEC 19, 2015
355 ml bottle @ Olutravintola Konttori. BBE 31.10.2016.
Pours hazy orange color with a small head. Intense hops on the nose as expected, resin and lots of pine, sweet tropical fruits too. Caramel malt flavor, mango, orange and pine, resinous and a bit oily hops. Full-bodied, bitter and oily palate. Intense and tasty, maybe a bit too sweet. Good nonetheless.

Bottle. Pours hazy amber, medium beige head, dissipates fairly quickly, some lacing. Aroma is perfume, caramel malts, and pine cones. Flavor is medium sweet and hugely bitter, caramel perfume and pine cones again. Medium body, creamy mouthfeel. M.E.H.
