Almost clear dark brown beer, no real head. Palate is slightly crisp and semi dry. Really nice Flemish sourness, not too sharp. Nice tart dark fruits and a whisper of balsamic vinegar. Light sherbet candy fruits. It’s all really well integrated. Light dry finish. Really nice Oud Bruin.
Dark amber pour with a khaki head. Nose of cherry, raisin, caramel, and red wine vinegar. Hints of lemon, some oak, and a nice fruit jam sweetness. The flavor is a good balance of sweet and sour. Cherry, raisin, berries, and grapes. Some red wine vinegar, a bit of oak, and light lemon notes. Caramel and chocolate malt sweetness, too. Theis (15152) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - OCT 5, 2013
Bottle at Amager Bryghus - Tasting - thanks to Papsø. Clear brown - offwhite head. Sourness, light acid, roasted, chocolate, vanilla, wooden, bretty, grape notes, nice medium berrie taste, some sweet notes. Lovely drinkability. crossovert (13730) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - AUG 19, 2012
It does has more than brett in it. This seemed like a pretty classically done Oud bruin. Sour, acidic, proabbly a medium to high sourness. It is smoothe though, big oak and vanilla notes go with the sourness well. It isn’t complex and subtle but it is damn sour and tasty. Desverger (12549) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - SEP 15, 2013
Bottle - murky amber/brown pour with small tan head. Dark berry fruits, very sour, yeasty, caramel, vinous and woody, slight spice and herbs. Pretty complex on the palate. Impressive.
