4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: JUL 14, 2014 Trying this on tap. Has an earthy yeast sour smell. Smells better than my description. Very complex taste. Good hit of sourness then some spice and finishes with bitterness. Really good.

750 from Binny’s Chicago. Reddish color. Not so much int he nose, but first sip reveals the brett. Woody. Maybe cranberry. Not bad SudsMcDuff (8462) - .....Manchester United.........., Texas, USA - FEB 1, 2015
the other Oso beers have been a mixed bag, this seemed to fit that .. . the imperial hoopy red put is in conflict with the brett and tartness .. muddled .. . i’d pass on this .. . . no no, i’m not that hungry. i think i’ll only have one cous, please. Bottle, thanks to Jeff. From notes: Pours clear red. Floral, candy; brett fruitiness; cherry; sweetness in aroma; thick texture. Don’t get dandelions. Cranberry juice; astringent wood; sweet, but I dig this. Yeah, astringent, alcohol, rough around the edges, but has potential.

Bottle shared by Bob. Brett aroma with flowers; it smells great. Unfortunately the flavor is bad and this is hard to drink. Brown color.

750ml bottle. Kinda tart, kinda bitter. Lots of Brett. Maybe too much Brett. tmoreau (4505) - Lombard, Illinois, USA - AUG 21, 2014
Shared 750 ml. bottle poured to snifters, showing a hazed, copper color, with a modest layer of off white head foam, and spots of lacing. The nose was simply funk, fruit, and tartness. The taste was fruity as tart cherries, almost sour, with lingering hop bitterness & barrel astringency. Alcohol was noticeable, the body was medium, carbonation was presentable, and the finish was pleasantly dry. Not overly bold, but a nice palate teaser. Hazy amber pour from a 750 bottle. Nice nose, floral, slightly hoppy. Nice nose. Taste is somehow unfinished, a little sweet on the back end. A tiny bit acetic. Herbaceous. Interesting. BVery (10711) - Plymouth, Minnesota, USA - AUG 19, 2014
Bomber shared by Jeff - thanks! Murky red amber pour with a smaller head. Great aroma of cherry and funk. Falls off a lot on taste - I’m getting dandelions. Ughsmash (7508) - Pewaukee, Wisconsin, USA - AUG 13, 2014
750mL bottle. Poured an eerie shade of medium orange with a short toasted beige head.. cool color. The aroma picked up lots of fruity Brett, leather, and white wine character over soft nutty and bready malts.. some cherry right on the back of the nose. The flavor opened with tart oak and cherries, again with soft nutty notes behind.. cherries, oak, and dry, fruity Brett laced throughout.. finished very dry with barrel and Brett leading. Medium-bodied with just the right carbonation.. tart upfront, with good balance between the barrel, the bugs, and the base beer.. nice one!
