12oz bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a mostly clear, light gold with minimal head. Aroma of light citrus with some oddly dank malt. Taste is light lemon citrus. Probably a decent summer brew, but kinda boring.

Pours a hazy blonde colour. Taste is of mango, marmalade and some Belgian yeast. Ok

2.5
Towey1989 (2720) - Stoke On Trent, Staffordshire, ENGLAND - NOV 17, 2016
Bottle at The Roebuck, Leek (Titanic) Pours a clear golden colour with a fizzy white head. Aroma of grain, some vegetable, slight cereal and subtle lemon. Taste of grain, some cereal, slight vegetable, a little lemon and subtle herbal hops. Light bodied and moderate carbonation. A short, grainy, herbal hop bitterness in the finish. More like an lager than a bitter, grainy and slightly vegetably. Dull.

Maybe the name The Big O teased at a kind of euphoria this Blonde Ale couldnt quite deliver. In any case, Osos brew was underwhelming for me. Gold color. Cereal grain nose. Cereal Grain flavor. The slightest hint of orange peel. Virtually no hop presence. Its inoffensive and plain.

BlackHaddock (7235) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - OCT 4, 2016
12 oz bottle on 30th Sep 2016 at The Crown Inn, Oakengates. Cloudy, dull lemon body, no head, not even a collar and wisp. Luckily the aroma and taste compensated for the poor look of the beer. Zesty, orangey and fizzy: I liked it.

Wasnt that impressed with this one either. It is a drinkable beer but mostly just forgettable.

minutemat (5420) - Shrewsbury, Shropshire, ENGLAND - AUG 19, 2016
330ml bottle @ Chez Sophie, Shrewsbury. Pours hazy yellow, thin white head. Aroma is cereal malts. Taste continues with a smooth, malty sweet character. Like the other O Sos Ive tried this lacks a nice crisp bitterness.

MrTipple (4803) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 17, 2016
Grain and cereal malts, orange. Clear, light gold, tiny head. Light sweet. More sweet grain and bread malts, light molasses, sweet orange again, soft carbonation. OK Golden Ale, slightly light, bit nice orange present. Keg at The Old Fashioned, Madison, WI.

UPDATED: OCT 17, 2016 (October 2016) Probably a fresher bottle from Badger Spirits in Beloit; this one had none of that vegetal quality and was much fuller in the body. Still not great but pretty drinkable. Rating is for this sampling.

(July 2016) 12 ounce bottle from some fairly generic grocery store in Wausau, WI. Golden-amber, translucent with a bit of fizzy head that dies away...malty, grassy, reasonably fresh aroma, reminds me more of a helles actually than most golden ales Ive had, nice but rather indistinct....body is fairly sweet at the front, drier towards the finish, moderately carbonated, a slightly vegetal quality coming through around midpalate, not enough to completely destroy the experience but definitely a flaw worth noting to my taste...a bit on the thin side, and definitely not improving as it warms. Eh... 6-3-5-2-9=2.6

Tap (Tommyknocker, Helsinki) at 4.7%
Smells like my mums apply crumble. Light palate, a little fizzy. Apple in the taste too, some light spicing too, fits the crumble theme. Palate thin, a bit fizzy. Tons of swirling makes it work better. Light and drinkable and refreshing, I enjoyed it.

Tide (3830) - Helsinki, FINLAND - MAR 12, 2016
Draught at Tommy Knocker Helsinki. Golden color, white head. Bitter taste with citrus, wheat, a bit of earthy notes and wheat. Bitter finish with citrus, wheat, earthy notes and grass. Solid wheat.
