Cask; Regular (formerly Occasional).
A full bodied ruby red ale with subtle chocolate malt character. Inital maltiness leads to citrus, spice and bitterness at the end. A rare Slovenian variety of hop provides both bitter finish and the aroma.

Cask at the Cask Pub & Kitchen, London on 13th November 2009. Amber with diminishing off white head. Grassy hop aromas are tempered by a cookie biscuity maltiness. The two do not fight or cancel each other out, but flavour the beer harmoniously side by side to give a delicious easy drinking ale just over session strength. pleasant, slightly zingy mouthfeel and a hoppy finish. A good pint.

Pint at Charlton Kings Club. Pours Red-Amber with a thick beige head. Malty, hoppy aroma, a little pine. Similar flavor, a little sweet up front, quite bitter, some fruity notes.

jjsint (3521) - Leicester, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - JUL 9, 2016
Handpull cask at the Salutation, Doncaster. Dark brownish red, very clear with a white head. Lots of lacing. Not much scent. Some malt, berry, forest floor... noticeably metallic. Taste is an acrid bitter which later softens to a pleasant fruity sweetness. But it’s too late. A lingering acrid note at the end. A real let down.
