From the barrel at Great Central beer festival. Pours clear wa pale yellow gold body and white foam top. Aroma has pineapples and tangerines and honey. Taste is medium sourness, medium bitterness, light sweetness, with a sour finish. Palate is light to medium body, thin feel, soft carbonation, astringent, finish. Not as fruity as some Citra based ales. But a refreshing summer beer that is more reliable than our weather. Cask (unfined), 1/2 pint, hand-pulled at Bon Accord, Glasgow on 15 Oct 2016, floral, grapefruit aromas, golden with a thin bubbly white head and no lacing, fruity, citrus flavours, creamy, well balanced. stravale (3145) - Co. Westmeath, IRELAND - OCT 16, 2016
Cask @ Roscoe Head, Liverpool
Light blonde, clear, thin white head dissipates
Aroma of sharp grapefruit, citrus, lemon, no malt
Taste of light malts, bitter grapefruit zest, bitter citrus hops
Palate - Light body, bit oily, bitter. Finish is very dry, aggressive bitter hops, less fruit, more just strong hop bitterness. The tail is just too bitter.
Overall - Harsh finish. Not a good example of a citra beer - maybe an off day
