After much deliberation the Old Boys Real Ale Tour boys Bargain Bob and Johnkett rated Pale Gold their favourite session beer at their regular haunt The Travellers Inn in Hipperholme, Halifax. The bench mark for all our rating sessions. harrisoni (19189) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - SEP 4, 2005

Cask at Euston Tap. Pours clear, vibrant gold with a small, cream head. Light cereal aroma with straw and grass hops. Nicely balanced flavor with dough and cracker malts then fairly strong earth hay hops. Light to medium in body with soft carbonation. Finishes quite dry with some caramel notes and citrus and grass hops. Solid kerolasa (409) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 14, 2010
Clean lager looking beer with head telling that it’s not lager. Almost no aroma other than yeast, that was not very pleasant. Taste is in usual ale style hoppy and dry. I would categorize this as mild ale. I wish I would have this beer in tap next to office where I work at next summer, because this is nearly perfect summer drink.

Cask at Akkurat, Stockholm. Clear golden with a low but firm white head. Nice hop aroma of grapefruit, lemon candy and grass. Light but reallu refreshing and crisp flavour of lemon-rind, wet grass and minerals. Light bodied. Aromatic and medium bitter finish of grapefrui and straw. Probably a great summer beer. The Three Pigeons in Halifax serves Ossett beers to a very high standard. This one is particularly fine.
