I enjoyed this stout ... but in all honesty it seemed a bit more like a porter to me. Poured from the bottle dark brown ... but with some light coming through. Thin fizzy head. Lots of fizz and light on the palate. Definitely roasted malts in the nose. Roasted malts on the tongue, some molasses and a bit of bitterness. Very tasty. deanso (10219) - Chiang Mai, THAILAND - MAR 30, 2013

Cask tried. Rating bottle. Dark brown ale with red hints. Thick tan head which lasts and lasts. Nose is really nice quality treacle toffee, with a little charcoal in there. Taste is rich coffee, mixed with treacle - a really rich bitterness throughout the ale, but a nice finish which means you go back for more more more. Class.
