Cask at the Newshouse, Nottingham. A pleasantly sweet stout, perhaps a bit thin on the palate. I don’t normally like Ossett beers, but this one isn’t bad. BeerCast_Rich (1906) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - DEC 20, 2010
[cask at Red Lion, York] Dark blackish brown pour, decent off-white head. Very thick and syrupy, aromas of dark treacle, molasses and brown sugar. Some malt aromas as well. Chewy on the palate, dark sweet malt with liquorice finish. Nice, but a half is about enough – good on a cold night though markas101 (2452) - Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA - SEP 17, 2010
