Cask at the Newshouse, Nottingham. A pleasantly sweet stout, perhaps a bit thin on the palate. I don’t normally like Ossett beers, but this one isn’t bad.

500ml bottle. Rather fittingly, the colour is that of dark molasses, and it pours with a pale caramel head. The aroma is burnt cinder toffee. Soft and rounded texture, with flavours of burnt malt and smokey honey.
