UPDATED: JUN 15, 2009 Bottled flip top (BB 06/2009) Thanks bierkoning! Ruby brown color, big cloudy beige head. Barnyardish, licorice malty, a bit tart aroma. A bit watery. Licorice, grassy hops, caramel malts. Not the most usual German dunkel.

Bov (12636) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - JUN 1, 2014
courtesy of Antonio Rey - pretty clear amber-brown beer with a persistent beige foam; light toasted with notes of toffee; some spicy hops; medium-bodied, quite fizzy, fairly bitter and dry; long notes of caramel and spices in the finish, earthy - not really cinvincing and with a low drinkability

Bottle: Deep golden to light amber coloured, mid-sized off-white head; barnyard and caramel in the nose, spicy grassy hops in the background; light to moderate bitter-sweet flavour, light bodied; lingering nutty-caramelly finish with a slight grainy touch in the aftertaste. Not bad…

33 cl flip top bottle thanks to Nisse666, shared on August 17, 2016.
BB Sep 2016.
Clear deep reddish brown color, smallish tan head. Malty, light grainy, a bit toasted, some fruits scent. Malty, light berries, mineral, medium hoppy, bitter, cream, toasted taste. Grainy, fruity, bitter, mineral aftertaste. Fizzy medium mouthfeel, medium to medium low bitterness.
Fresh, nice, quaffable, could have more of this!

33 cl bottle @ Timo A.
Pours dark mahogany color with a small head. Aroma of sweet caramel malts, sweet ripe fruits, some yeast, pine, some faint alcohol notes and cocoa. Flavor of cocoa powder, some chocolate, bread malts, caramel and faint yeast notes. Soft carbonation, quite stuffy malty palate. Quite tasty actually.
