Pours a bright clear brown with orange highlights with a lofty tan head. Smells of toasted malt, dark bread, some caramel. Taste is quite roasty, earthy, mildly sweet with some licorice on the slightly dry aftertaste. This beer is super smooth with beautiful fine carbonation...perfect!! Body is light plus. Well the taste is interesting and pretty full while the body is superb. olio (10272) - Tampere, FINLAND - SEP 20, 2013

Pours dark mahogany color with a small head. Aroma of sweet caramel malts, sweet ripe fruits, some yeast, pine, some faint alcohol notes and cocoa. Flavor of cocoa powder, some chocolate, bread malts, caramel and faint yeast notes. Soft carbonation, quite stuffy malty palate. Quite tasty actually.

33 cL bottle. Pours dark golden and deep amber with a small tan head. Roasted malty and slight breadish. Dry malty with a light breadish note before the finish. Ends smooth roasted and light malty. Grima (2394) - Merzkirchen, RLP, GERMANY - AUG 5, 2011
Pours a bright ruby red beer with a huge creamy head. Smells malty sweet, slightly earthy in the background. Starts pronounced malty, slightly roasty, pleasantly sour in the background, which is perfectly complemented with the yeast. The finish shows very roasted malty, full-bodied, slightly bitter, with a subtle smokiness.

Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass zippy, dark, almost black, nice head. Starts mild, modest malty-dry, not too roasty. More and more malty with hints of chocolate. Finish well balanced, quite drinkable. Nice! MichaelAwesome (6519) - Wanne-Eickel, GERMANY - APR 27, 2014
BeerViking (4787) - Brentford, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 16, 2016
