Draught at Ginger Man Boston, 10/23/16.
Moderately to heavily hazy brass-golden with tangerine juice similarities and a feeble white head atop.
Tropical fruits abound, primarily passion fruit, to the surprise of no one, though it’s got a good balance of pineapple, nectarine and light grapefruit, as well. Malts underneath are careful to stay out of the way, adding only light cracker and biscuit and virtually no sweetness. Passion fruit adds its zesty, earthy, acidic notes and there is no alcohol or flaw.
In the mouth it does a hell of an impression of having hop bitterness, as the acidity from the passion fruit certainly balances the beer, though the attenuation is very high so it doesn’t take a ton of it. Light honey, lots of cracker, earth and more tropical fruit complexities linger on with engaging carbonation and no alcohol or flaw. Obviously no resin.

Growler shared by Paul. Thanks man. Yellow hazy body with a small white collar. Passion fruit cuts through in all facets. Juicy, drinkable, well done.

Thanks Paul for the growler! Poured into a taster showing unfiltered whitish yellow with a light white foam lacing. The nose shows a petrol forwardness with light brinyness. The palate is light bodied and lightly carbonated. Flavors of moderately intense kiwi and no bitterness.

On tap at Other Half, pours an opaque cloudy yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out huge passion fruit notes upfront, followed by dank citrus and pine. Flavour is amazingly juicy, with truckloads of passion fruit upfront, followed by dank citrus and piney hops. So much depth, with a delectably fruity finish. Phenomenal.

Draught @ Milk and Hops - Chelsea. Hazy bright orange with small off-white foamy head that disappeared fast, citrus peel aroma, medium carbonation, thin body, lightly tart taste with mango/citrus flavor, long tart finish with hops bitterness. Interesting brew.

Draft at Ginger Man. Murky grapefruit juice looking pour with a frothy white head. Tropical fruit juice aroma and flavor. Hop bitterness is pretty much gone, which seems to be what they were going for. Finishes slightly tart, fruity, and with a bit of a lively tingle on the close. Pretty nice glass of fruit juice that I can honestly not believe is 8% alcohol. That’s a shocking number to me. Nicely tart on the close. Not sure how to possibly rate this. I’m torn. Ended up here. Was a fun drink, and I’m a big fan of both these breweries, so I’ll try anything these two want to throw at me, especially if they did it together.
