3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap & OH Taproom. Pours a clear pale orange, light white head. Aroma is yeast, clove, banana, fresh hop, grass. Flavor is med sweet, fruit, end is faint bitter hop. Very clean & crisp Belgian tripel, hop forward.
Growler from Whole Foods. Pour was light gold. The aroma was tangy and fruity, with a little cider and flowers. Very interesting flavor - a lightly funky tripel, with a strong American hop presence. It was almost IPA-like. Another point: LOTS of sour, funky sediment. Somehow I’m not sure what to make of this. hopwine (678) - brooklynzzzzz, New York, USA - JAN 14, 2015
Nose is spicy, herbaceous saaz. Flavor is more of the same with some prominent belgian esters, crackery/doughy malt, some floral/nectary sweetness. Overall an interesting take on the style that’s worth trying Leighton (22836) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - NOV 21, 2014
Keg at the brewery taproom. Pours clear yellow-gold with light effervescence and white, creamy head. The nose has some dry wheat, light dough, yeast, lemon peel. Light to medium sweet flavor with mild dry doughy wheat bread, some sourdough too, floral aspects, straw. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Mellow warmth on the end with further dry and doughy wheat bread, hay and biscuits. Not bad. Nice one. yespr (48968) - Copenhagen O, DENMARK - NOV 2, 2014
Hazy, white head. Veggie aroma. Toasted phenolic. Caramelish. Light bitter finish. mansquito (7148) - Nueva York, New York, USA - SEP 21, 2014
At the brewery: Pours light orange with a white head. Aroma is yeast, spice, and a hint of booze. My girlfriend insisted that this smelled like legumes out of a can, I didn’t get that, but that is certainly not high praise. The taste was not particularly exciting. There was a bit of hops. Some fruitiness. I feel like they didn’t totally achieve what they set out to do.

Draft at source. Pours cloudy yellow white head. Nose and taste of lemongrass, pear, Belgian yeast, and citrus and orange peel. Medium body. dfroms (477) - Brooklyn, New York, USA - AUG 17, 2014
Draft. Pours clear straw with small head of white bubbles. Pretty. Aroma is very nice pilsner-like hops mingled with tripel fruitiness. Taste is closer to classic tripel, with stone fruit, banana, clove, and light hop bitterness. Tasty.
