Pint on handpump at the White Horse (Parsons Green, London). Plenty of tongue cheek alright, as my tongue was trying to work this beer out. Complex, with citrus and spice along with an intriguing sourness. A pint was quite a bit of work, but it was working. TaktikMTL (7921) - Montréal, Quebec, CANADA - JUN 28, 2011

UPDATED: JUN 25, 2011 A lightly hazed blonde ale with a thin light white head. A light clove aroma, fresh and smooth, light incense notes. In mouth, a smooth herbaceous malt, light Brett notes, very nice. Bottle at Mondial 2011, June 12, 2011. Famousdog (4) - - JUN 23, 2011 does not count
This was frankly more like a pale ale to my palate than a wheat beer, and not too distinctive a pale ale at that. In fact, can’t remember much about it! Diogène (1208) - Mirabel, Quebec, CANADA - JUN 13, 2011

Cask at the Euston Tap. Clear yellow pour with a dense, white foam head. Stinging aroma of citric and grassy hops. Light to medium sweet, with sharp citrus, wheat, subtle yeast, weeds and grass bitters. Light in body with average carbonation. Strong grass hops in the finish, mild bread. Very nice beer. Cask, King’s Head, Carlisle. Very pale and quite refreshing. Taste of heather and nettles, some peach, fresh hops and faint malt. Finish is short and slightly tart. DruncanVeasey (8260) - Nr NUNEATON, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - FEB 18, 2011
Bottle. Brilliant with a slim, well-retained white collar. Highly susprising aroma- a lambic-like streak of tart lemon, cork and cheesy hop with a hint of old dishcloth (Cascade?). Reminds me of Drie Fonteinen more than anything. Flavour also against the grain; resinous hop bite, satsuma, husky malt and a dab of TCP overpowering any suggestion of perfuminess. I expected Welsh Hoey and got a blend of JHB and Drie Fonteinen. Good, but..I dunno, sometimes I’m just in the mood for a Hoey. rosenbergh (11753) - Tampere, FINLAND - JAN 11, 2011
