[on cask at EBF 2008] Almost mimosa orange juice aroma that is sour and with some coriander. Dark yellow with no top. Fruity flavour with ginger, lotus root, and a little toffee. Low carbonation, light body, fruity bitter finish.

Sampled @ European Beer Festival, Valby. Pours straw yellow. Unlike the OG, which I had sampled first, this is a very good beer.

Maria (10212) - Thisted, DENMARK - OCT 7, 2008
EBF2008. It’s slightly hazy and golden and the head is creamy. The aroma is refreshing and crisp with notes of citrus and fruit. The flavour is refreshing and pleasant with notes of fruit, citrus, malt, caramel and the finish is dry and slightly bitter. Very pleasant indeed.

Cask @ EBF, 2008, Carlsberg.
Pours muddy pale yellow with almost no head. Lots of particles in the liquid. Aroma is malty, light oranges and yeast. Low carbonation and a bit watery. Rather dry flavour, hops and maltiness. Okay, dry finish.

UPDATED: JAN 25, 2009 Cask (EBF2008)
Fruity hoppy aroma. Good bitter body. Refreshing pale ale (this is too hoppy to be just a golden ale). Full of taste, most of which is fruity hops. Well balanced by the malty body - very drinkable in any quantity.

Cask (Gallows Bird, Espoo, Real Ale Festival 2009)
Day 0: Slightly fruity hoppy aroma. Decent malty body. Both bitter and aromatic hops. Not as punchy as it was at EBF, and couldn’t compare to the Loddon Ferryman’s Gold today.

From cask. Pours almost fully clear and golden yellow with a fuly diminished white head. Citrusy towards more dry spiced hoppy aroma. Dry and hoppy base flavour with a solid acidic note and light fruity touch into the far finish. Dry and bitter into the far finish.

KnutAlbert (6754) - Oslo, NORWAY - SEP 15, 2008
EBF, Copenhagen. Seducive. Full flavour, well balanced malt and hops. Lingering bitterness in the finish. Much more to this than most British golden ales.

Cloudy yellow with tiny white head. Sweet fruity aroma with notes of floral hops. Flavour likewise with a mild bitter finish.

MiP (15667) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - SEP 8, 2008
Cask at GBBF08. Weak sweet fruit aroma. Clear golden colour, very small white head. OK fruity flavour with a hint of flavour hops, slightly citric.
