A very pale golden ale. A real hoppy beer packed with American Columbus hops - very bitter and thirst quenching with a satisfying herbal finish and massive aromas.

from Mondial de la Bière 2011, Strasbourg - slightly hazy golden blond beer; moderate but long lasting foam; subtle fruity hoppiness (citrus and apple); clean palate, moderate malt backbone and carbonation; light bitterness; the finish is a bit yeasty with lingering fruity hoppy tones

curious stuff, on the flawed side of being "interesting". aroma brings the following images to mind: pineapple lollies, rotten egg and lawnmowing. the colour bears an unfortunate and uncanny resemblance to piss - yellow as yellow can be. the sulfur disappears once it’s in your mouth which is good, leaving a very kolschlike mildly fruity and lightly malty drink, with a small amount of fresh earthy hops to finish. ive had a lot of good golden ales in this country over the last few weeks and this is not a contender.

davet100 (16) - Virginia, USA - AUG 1, 2011
On cask at Odiham and Greywell Cricket Club. Pours golden with a hoppy aroma. A very impressive beer, with a complex character and brimming with somewhat tropical flavours. Fruity on the palate with hints of orange and other citrus flavours but leading to a dry finish with a fairly moderate bitterness. Big fan!

3.2
sm89walt (2080) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - JUL 24, 2011
Cask - The Plasterers Arms, Norwich. Small & bubbly, mostly disppearing white head atop a clear golden orange body. Orange, lemon and lime notes dominate the aroma. Lightly tangy lime, marmalade and apple flavours. Light to medium body, soft mouthfeel, low bitterness, short finish.

3.3
tommann (3950) - Dudley, West Midlands, ENGLAND - JUL 20, 2011
500ml bottle. Pours a very pale hold with a medium, frothy head. Aroma is faint, grass and lemon. Taste has grass and lemon to start. Strong bitter lemon finish. Tropical fruit in the aftertaste.

3.2
jfb (6675) - GERMANY - JUL 10, 2011
(bottle) pours a slightly hazy golden-yellow colour with no head. heavily perfumed aroma of lychee and mango, with light notes of tobacco, grass and straw. flavour has lots of tropical fruit over a caramel, straciatella and pale malt base. medium-bodied with very little carbonation and a light bitter finish.
