Interesting dark beer. Billed as an IPA, and comes across as a smokey porter with an extra dash of bitterness on the finish. Getting some smoked, woody, almost fruity flavours coming through as the drink continues. Enjoyed thoroughly out of a Westmalle goblet, like a king (or just a beer hipster with delusions of grandeur). 500ml bottle from M&S. 500ml bottle. Dark brown, with a fine toffee-coloured head. Sharp aroma, creamy with a something akin to Biro ink. Dry flavour, heavy coffee and cream. Dry aftertaste. Very much like a stout, as opposed to a black IPA. SarkyNorthener (5075) - West Bromwich (Yorkshire Expat), West Midlands, ENGLAND - MAY 7, 2016

Aroma is quite prominent in green, resinous hop. Fairly hoppy flavour with a decent roasted malt bitterness.
