COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask & bottle; Occasional.

Internationally recognised beer writer Melissa Cole visited us last month to brew an exciting new speciality beer with Matthew Otley. The beer a 4.6% abv golden speciality ale was officially launched on Friday 11th June at the GWBCF in Cardiff International Arena. Melissa named the beer at the unveiling as Thai Bo, a respectful nod to its influences that inspired it.
Infused with Lemongrass, lime leaf and galangal it has been described as having the aromas of a Thai green curry in a glass. The flavours make this an ideal summer beer as the clean refreshing flavours cut right through to quench your thirst and tickle your palette, it has been a big hit also with female drinkers as they describe it as being a beer that they like to drink. We think this beer will be making a return soon as a new monthly seasonal, but if you fancy giving it a try, hurry, we have a limited amount of casks available from this single brew, so call us to secure one of the most striking beers to come out of our brewery this year.

Cask by handpump at Bon Accord, Glasgow - clear yellow, thin off-white head, weak sweet malty and herbal aroma, patchy lacing, sweet, some flavour a bit like coconut I don’t recognise, very easy to drink, unusual

Lovely tasting beer with a good head. Had it yesterday so can't remember too much though! --- Rated!

Cask conditioned handpump Lyric London 30/05/13. A yellow blonde beer with a white bubbly head. An oddity for sure. Coriander, lemongrass and a little heat. The spicing is OK but it just all seems a very unnecessary experiment of a beer. I’d rather drink a Belgian Wit which this is just about hinting at I reckon.

Served on cask, poured into a half pint glass in a pub in pontypridd. Pours a clear golden colour with little head. Smells quite fresh, oily and hoppy. Tastes quite tangy and hoppy, very different, and i’m not sure i like it. Quite pale ale tasting, with odd twinges that must be the thai elements (lemongrass etc). Overall not a bad beer, i think i’d like it better after trying it a couple more times. Nice on a hot summers day.

another fruity affair from Melissa Cole. this one is a bit strange but ultimately tasty. golden straw pour with tight white head. aroma is an intoxicating mix of ginger & lemongrass. very refreshing as the aromas multiply and the light bitterness tickles the tonsils. one pint was enough, probably better with food! cask. Marble Arch. Manchester

Light and crisp. Light soapy foam. Almost no aroma with the exception of a slight bit of pine. Taste is of orange, veggies, citrus, and soap. Really a unique flavor. Not bad despite the soapiness. Some floral effervescence. Tried at the Sheep’s Heid Inn outside Edinburgh in 2012.
