Bottle: Clear color with a tinge of beige. Not very thick or sticky. The nose is lightly sweet and hot with spicy melon and plum, a bit of alcohol and light koji dustiness. The flavor is crisp with a rounded dry/alcohol note that breathes through the nose on the finish. My lips tingle and it has a light buttery characteristic to it. Not exactly subtle, but good explosive flavors and a brief yet-alcohol rich tail. Slick (1969) - Thief River Falls, Minnesota, USA - DEC 1, 2005
Nic off clear color, the aroma was that of fresh melons with the taste coming off as being melony with a mild sweetness and mild alcohol coming on in the end.Not a bad one at all gets a little much on the fruit after a couple in a row but over all i could see having another bottle around for the summer. egajdzis (6502) - Pennsburg, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 8, 2005
Poured a faint yellow tint, with legs on the glass. Aroma of vanilla, and citrus notes. Taste of mre vanilla, fruitiness, and a light alcohol finish. Syd (921) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - NOV 19, 2004
Yumi, Excelsior, MN 11/19/2004 Poured so that it runs over the glass into a short dish. The appearance is clear, with perhaps a bit of a pewter tinge. The aroma is melon like. The flavor is much the same, with a bit of warming. Overall, I enjoyed it. obisbeer (568) - Barcelona, SPAIN - SEP 11, 2004
nice honey dew, and melon aromas. Mid palate sweet with a refreshing finish. Lots of melon, a nice sake!

Bright and clear, slight hint of yellow-green. Aroma shows alcohol first, with a slight lemony note, honeydew and a hint of wood, rounded out by orange blossom honey. The body is smooth, slightly warming. There's some light tropical fruit notes (melon, kumquat, kiwi). Soft and well-integrated. Sweet finish with mildly pepper alcoholic firmness. Everyone claims this to finish dry, but while there is alcoholic dryness I still get a lot of residual sugars back there. austinpowers (2828) - New York, New York, USA - FEB 23, 2004
UPDATED: MAR 15, 2004 Pretty dry as advertised. From Hokkaido. Alcohol shows through. Had at NYC sake bar. Upon retasting at a Manhattan sake tasting, it seemed smoother with some graininess and a hint of fruit. Pretty light.
