Oakes (18517) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAR 5, 2004
Bright and clear, slight hint of yellow-green. Aroma shows alcohol first, with a slight lemony note, honeydew and a hint of wood, rounded out by orange blossom honey. The body is smooth, slightly warming. There's some light tropical fruit notes (melon, kumquat, kiwi). Soft and well-integrated. Sweet finish with mildly pepper alcoholic firmness. Everyone claims this to finish dry, but while there is alcoholic dryness I still get a lot of residual sugars back there.

kermis (14478) - The Hague / Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - APR 2, 2017
Bottle shared at a Japanese restaurant in The Hague. Near water appearance. Aroma of sweet rice, light floral notes, vanilla and light grape. Flavour is above moderate sweet.

Bottle at a party. Ever the hunter..Anyway, pours a clear yellow color. A fruity pear nose with light grains. The flavor is pretty smooth: sweet dry rice, pears, almost paper like grains, white grapes. There is a big sweetness to this Sake but not overpowering. Smooth. Good.

nearly clear and still. neutral nose with notes of pear and floral perfume. mild acid; medium body. perfume floral flavor with major notes of soap and rice and minor notes of peach. alcohol provides a moderate zing. still unsure i’m prepared to evaluate sake all that well, but i found this one somewhere between enjoyable and tolerable, whatever that means.

after4ever (8025) - Mukilteo, Washington, USA - MAY 4, 2011
Decanted at sushi zen. Pours crystal brilliantly clear. Bright lemony nose, mild cucumber undertone. Light watery body. Pleasant cucumber mid palate with a long dry finish.

Poured a faint yellow tint, with legs on the glass. Aroma of vanilla, and citrus notes. Taste of mre vanilla, fruitiness, and a light alcohol finish.

(Bouteille à Maneki Seattle): Un nuage d’ammoniac, des tons hyper terreux, secs et amers pour compléter le chocolat blanc.

BückDich (5464) - McCall, Idaho, USA - APR 23, 2006
Bottle: Clear color with a tinge of beige. Not very thick or sticky. The nose is lightly sweet and hot with spicy melon and plum, a bit of alcohol and light koji dustiness. The flavor is crisp with a rounded dry/alcohol note that breathes through the nose on the finish. My lips tingle and it has a light buttery characteristic to it. Not exactly subtle, but good explosive flavors and a brief yet-alcohol rich tail.

austinpowers (2832) - San Francisco, California, USA - FEB 23, 2004
UPDATED: MAR 15, 2004 Pretty dry as advertised. From Hokkaido. Alcohol shows through. Had at NYC sake bar. Upon retasting at a Manhattan sake tasting, it seemed smoother with some graininess and a hint of fruit. Pretty light.

csaso (2328) - Missouri, USA - AUG 21, 2012
Bottle - crystal clear, aroma and flavor were mild fruit (apple?), mild sour, fair alcohol, and of course the fermented rice - don’t know much about sake, but this wasn’t bad, especially seemed to go really well with the sushi I ate along with it
