bottle, pours light brown with a tall off white head. Aroma is carmel malt and brown sugar. Flavor is rich carmel malt with some chocolate and coffee in the finish. Muggus69 (2807) - Yarram, Vic, AUSTRALIA - DEC 4, 2009
Amber body with a ruby glow, steady beige head.
Toffee on the nose, undertones of sweet nuts and cocoa.
Moderate carbonation, medium body, slight sticky texture.
Tasty burnt toffee upfront, backed up with milk chocolate, nutty and subtle roasted malts. Hint of plum of a well-rounded finish.
Lovely dark lager. Dorqui (2304) - Brescia, ITALY - OCT 6, 2009
Draught. Dark brown color, hazy, torbid, solid and fraught. Volumous, abundant head and of good duration. Braced cereals aroma, burned wood, dark resin. Stinging taste and much bitter one, turn out solid and powerful while it comes down in mouth. Decided, persistent end, perhaps a lot top heavy. alexanderj (3605) - Branson, Missouri, USA - AUG 31, 2009
Tasted in Vienna. Color was a reddish amber. Aroma of roasted malt, bread, vegetables and caramel. Flavor of vegetable, caramel and as roasted as it gets for a beer in this area. A bit oxidized, but ok overall.

01/08 A 0.5 l bottle from Interspar Udine. It poured dark red to brown body with small brownish head. Nice dark malty aroma, some caramel, dark fruits and even chocolate. Flavor was nice as well, caramelly, slightly sugary and fruity. Unfortunately, watery, very thin bodied, with short sweetish and watery finish. Nice beer, if only had somewhat more body! mcoop1188 (7) - USA - MAY 20, 2009 does not count

Draught, 4.2% at the brewpub. Faintly sour aroma. Dark brown colour, seems clear. Stable tan head. The flavour is mildly roasted, and then rather thin. Seems OK clean. Roasted caramelly aftertaste.Ober (2811) - Bommelerwaard, NETHERLANDS - OCT 6, 2008

Draught at Bermuda Bräu Vienna. A clear amber colored beer, with a beige head. It disappears quickly. The aroma of mocha/chocolate, caramel malt. The taste is watery, with a little chocolate and caramel. Almost no aftertaste. pivnizub (10912) - Bochum, GERMANY - SEP 3, 2008
Bottle: deep reddish-amber coloured with a stable beige lacy head; dryish caramelly-nutty nose; light to medium bodied, smooth MF, moderate bitter-sweet flavour; traces of hops in the astonishingly dry and caramelly finish. An austrian goody.........
