Translated with Google translator (from German to English) This is my favorite beer! It is unique! Both its color and its taste. It tastes full-bodied, tasty and refreshing. 16erBlech (545) - Burgenland, AUSTRIA - SEP 6, 2014
Draught at Anton Frank/ Wien 18. Well, what shall I say? Also this Ottakringer is a favorite of mine. It looks like it tastes: Great!

Perhaps a new addition to the Ottakringer line since I didn't see it in November. Caramel malt addition leaves this beer light red and with a much fuller body than the regular Zwickel. A very enjoyable brew. EAGLE82 (235) - Röslau, Bavaria, GERMANY - JUN 8, 2016
Really nice beer. Next to no aroma but it looks great and the taste is really smooth but still nice hoppy and full. WienerBrit (10) - Wien, AUSTRIA - SEP 14, 2017
UPDATED: SEP 14, 2017 Darker beers in Austria tend to be sweet, and the Zwickl Rot is no exception. This is not ideal, but the Red is still my favourite from the Ottakringer range. Especially, from the brewery tap.

Pours unclear amber, small white head. Smell is bit bitter, some aromatic ambermalts. Taste is intense aromatic malts, very clear and natural. Light bitter. Very Nice, actually. KyotoLefty (10726) - Kyoto, JAPAN - MAR 23, 2010
Draught at the Schweizerhaus, Prater, Vienna, where they called it "Rotes Zwickl." I am not really sure just what style of beer this is aiming for. It is reddish-brown in color, very cloudy. Has a rich, malty, fruity, and quite sour flavor that even resembles a Flemish ale slightly. It has a slightly sour, yeasty aroma as well. This was very nice stuff, interesting and original, and more complex than their others beers.
