Bottle 50cl, a clear yellow beer with medium head. Nose is on grain and nuts. Aroma is on grain, barley sugar, grassy hops, very classic, light caramel finish.

bottled. a decent example of the style - rich clear amber with a modest head; aroma of honeyed hay. somewhat tinny hop character with golden syrup sweetness. quite pleasant

mile (4032) - Helsinki, FINLAND - FEB 19, 2014
Bottle. Golden, small to average and mostly diminishing head. Moderate, malty and sweetish aroma, some caramel and light bread. Body is medium, malty and sweetish flavor, some caramel and light bread, light metal. Finish is average, malty and lightly sweetish - sweetish, light caramel and bread, light sharp metal and faint hoppyness, faint alcohol. Sweetish märzen with caramel/bread – could use more bitterness

(draught) pours a clear golden colour with a frothy white head. aroma of cinnamon and marzipan, very spicy, with notes of cardboard and grain. flavour is mostly grainy pale malts and light herbal hops, much too sweet, with a hint of cardboard in the finish. medium-bodied with average carbonation.

Tap at Hallertauer Bierfestival 2012. Hayish minerally aroma. Golden, nice lacing head. Minerally, leafy, some dms. Chewy mouthfeel. Sulphur retronasal.

It’s dark golden with a creamy head, and the aroma has notes of dusty straw and sweet grain. The flavor is moderately sweet with notes of grain, straw, light caramel and the finish is slightly dry.

Never heard of Ottenbrau until last week. I’m impressed. Clear copper body with a thick white head. Foamy and laces well. Very lively carbonation. Looks amazing. Smell is of bread, caramel, and nuts. Taste is sweet caramel malt at first then finishes with a slight citrus hop bite. Carbonated buttery mouthfeel but not overdone. Very good balance and enjoyable Marzen! Prost!
