India Pils Lager
Our spring seasonal offering brewed with 100 percent positive vibrations and single-hopped with Citra hops. The presence of the Citra hop is elevated by a clean fermenting lager yeast that allows the subtle Pilsner, Munich and Vienna malts to lay a crisp, bready foundation. The citrus and tropical fruit character of the Citra hop comes from kettle additions followed by a huge dose of ‘em again in the fermenter.

This was my first IPL, so I can’t compare it to others, but I wasn’t feeling it. Pours a cloudy gold color. I like the appearance of the unfiltered beers like this one. Aroma was an odd smell to me. I could sense some grapefruit in there. Pine taste. Anyone else kind of this it was a bit sour and kind of pungent and skunky? It was bottled end of January, could it have been bad already?

Pours a cloudy gold. Big white head that lasted till end and formed a volcano shaped formation on top and had ok lace. Aroma was grapefruit. Taste was grapefruit, malt and pine resins. Finish was pine. A okay beer, I think it would have been better in the heat of summer.

Funny beer - I find the nose to be unpleasant but the taste of citrus to be quite nice at the start but finishes slightly off. I have has this with other India style beers before so may be idiosyncratic ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Smell of citra hop. Grapefruit pith, bitter, citrus, hoppy deliciously well balanced

A wonderfully hoppy, yet sessionable lager for the spring and summer. Love the citra hops!

I kinda like the unfiltered citrus grapefruit thing going on, but something was a bit odd. Nice aroma, crisp body and aftertaste.

Bootle. Pours a adjuncty pale yellow with white head. Aroma and taste is weak citrus, weird pilsy stuff. I hate rating beer.

Poured hazy yellow with a thick, sticky white head. Aromas of lemon, bitter orange peel, hay, and grassy hops. Flavor is highly bitter but still goes down easy due to the light body. Great beer for this time of year as the weather is finally warming up!
