2.1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle: Spicey, tabacco taste, traces of a stout. Altbier? I have my serious doubts.
Not a big fan of this copper ale. Bland and a little unbalanced. Has a decent hop character at the end. Tried for the first time in 2010. gripweed57 (2966) - Hamilton Square, New Jersey, USA - MAY 31, 2017
From old tasting notes. Hazy copper gold color. Small creamy beige head. Sweet Carmel malt aroma. Sweet toasted malt flavor has a silky soft mouthfeel and an underlying earthiness. Very good. Meilby (11790) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - JUN 8, 2015

Pours hazy golden with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel and grass. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with a long malty, caramel and grassy finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
Bottle. An unclear, dark amber to copper colored beer with a small, off-white head. The aroma is very bready, like Danish rye bread, with some caramel and a little fruity touch. It’s medium bodied and soft on the palate, rather dry, with flavors of bread, toffee and a generic fruityness. Some dried fruits and bitterness. Long caramel flavor with bread and some bitterness. Rather boring this one, and it needs a few sips to feel pleasant. 150608 TATE (407) - Lubec, Maine, USA - MAY 11, 2015
Bottle. Pours a copper color with a thin off white head and a bit of a haze. Sweet malty aroma. Malt comes through at the beginning with a some citrusy hop at the end. Balance seems quite good. Its okay, somewhat forgettable but a nice change from the hop bombs populating the scene.

Aroma is a mix of caramel and mild nut. Deep brown body with a reddish hue. Mild haziness. Head is thin. Dry nut and malt taste. Has a hint of caramel. Seems kind of plain and straight forward although very drinkable. DavoleBomb (1867) - Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 5, 2015
Poured into a pint glass.
3.25 A: Moderately hazed copper color. Not even one finger of head formed.
3.5 S: Big toastiness. Nuttiness to a lesser extent. Fairly dry, but sweet enough to be balanced.
3.75 T: Tastes like the nose. Toasty, nutty, grainy maltiness. Moderately dry with a touch of yeast.
4.0 M: Medium body. Good moderate carbonation. Nice creaminess in this.
3.75 D: Not a whole lot going on, but it is tasty. tfontana (1184) - Fremont, New Hampshire, USA - APR 26, 2015
Bottle from Candia Road Convenience Store. Aroma is mix of bready malt and yeast. Appearance is gorgeous clear copper color (go figure) with beautiful sparkling, one finger frothy white head that dissipates to ring and foamy lacing. Taste is weak and has nothing up front but lightly sweet back end. Palate is light and thin with nice light carbonation on the tongue. Finish is inconsequential. Overall, I’m not sure you’re going to find a nicer beer to look at. But, it’s almost like OCB put all their eggs in this basket and forgot about the other attributes. Not much to recommend it otherwise. jamesewelch (259) - Burlington, Vermont, USA - FEB 14, 2015

Aroma: Caramel, toffee, sweet, malty, floral hops
Appearance: Amber color, hazy, off white head
Taste: Sweet with a little bitterness
Palate: Medium body, dry finish
Overall: Slightly sweet with some bitterness. Very clean lager. Slight floral aroma. Nice balance with hops and malts. Nice dry finish.
Same style and very, very similar taste to Long Trail Ale. Between this or LT Ale, I think I enjoy LT Ale by a little. I probably couldn’t pick out each beer from each other in a blind taste test.
I think Altbiers like this and Long Trail Ale are great beer-beers. Nothing crazy, nothing too intense, good balance and great tasting. I don’t drink a lot of Altbiers, except for LT Ale and OC Copper, but these are solid beer.
on tap,poured into a pint glass..amber color with an off-white head..aroma of caramel,spices,dark fruits..dry,malty..some hop bitterness..nothing special.
