On tap at brewery in Middlebury, Vermont. Pours nearly opaque black-brown with a creamy dark tan head and lacing as sipped. Aroma: roasted grains, dark chocolate, raisins, prunes, smoke. Flavor: milk chocolate, oatmeal-raisins cookies, figs, dates. Mouthfeel: rich, creamy, savory.

Nitro pour at Timothy’s. Dark brown with thick creamy head. Lighter roast grain aroma, a bit sweet, almost lacto. Smooth and silky.

Sirmixsomewhat (266) - Paoli, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 16, 2017
This beer is heavy. It’s rich and in your face in terms of hoppiness and sheer strength. It also completely lacks anything to balance that heaviness out and it ends up being a beer that gets tiresome to drink pretty quickly.

Aroma of chocolate, hay, slightly roasty. Appearance: pours DARK, dense and silky, almost without a splash into a pint glass. Taste: slight bitterness stops this beer from being overly chocolaty however the bitterness isn’t present enough to create a black burnt coffee taste. Palate: its a little more carbonated than I want it to be, reminds me a bit of a porter instead of a stout in that regard. but it still maintains a silky smooth mouthfeel and medium finish. Overall: compared to the myriad of 7% and above huge big chocolate coffee stouts, its refreshing to have a drinkable but not boring craft stout. otter creek is a home run brewery.

ghostbeer (251) - Nebraska, USA - DEC 10, 2016
This beer was very smooth and good. For me, it is the near perfect balance of chocolate sweetness and coffee bitterness with an impressive finish. Crazy easy to drink with a slight warming quality that was appreciated on a cold December afternoon.

jrodooo5 (1775) - DOVER, Delaware, USA - OCT 23, 2016
Attractive, enticing aroma, smooth feel, & a decent taste! Very good dark pour w/ a mocha head & plenty of lacing. The aroma light chocolate & medium coffee roast. The taste starts off sweet w/ the chocolate & finished slightly abruptly w/ some roasty bitterness. The mouthfeel is soft throughout & overall this is a very nice brew!

Bamsen78 (5709) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - OCT 12, 2016
Draught @ Churchkey, Washington, DC. Pours cloudy very dark brown with airy but stable tan head. Clear aroma of roast, with notes of malt and yeast and touches of coffee. Bitter, roasty flavour with notes of coffee and malt and touches of hops and yeast. Hints of dark chocolate. Roasty afteraste with estsry and coffeelike notes. Decent.
