COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A big, unfiltered American IPA built to accompany the big Eastern Winter. Just like an epic bluebird day follows a snow storm, a peppery build from the Rye-malt accompanies glorious hop notes of pine, citrus and fresh grass.

The bold Rye-malt backbone warms the soul, whether after a long day on the slopes with your buds, or just sitting in front of the fireplace at home.

At 60 IBUs, Kind Ryed uses a combination of Apollo, Simcoe, Chinook and Centennial hops to create a drinkable brew that won’t wipe out your tastebuds. The new look bottle label and packaging artwork goes out-of- bounds and embraces the freeriding spirit of our Brewmaster, Mike Gerhart. It’s his bus that adorns the label and his recipe that fills the bottles. Hop on the bus and take a Kind Ryed with us.

Bottle to a glass mug. Pours a cloudy yellow with a yellowish head. Great nose of citrus hops. Has a nice citrus hop flavor, not too overpowering. The rye adds an earthy flavor. Pretty good.

Pours a soft peachy gold with one finger of egg white head. Nose shows woody hop notes and citrus rind with a forward rye and malt character. Malt and rye dominant in the flavor with a woody hop quality and some citrus rind. Medium light bodied with citrus pith on the finish.

demannu (451) - New Jersey, USA - MAR 28, 2016
Golden amber color with a thick foamy white head with lots of lacing. Aroma is citrus, rye, and slight pine. Taste is rye malt, citrus notes, slight bitter. Smooth body, dry finish. Definitely my kind if ipa.

3.6
NikkTwist (3225) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 20, 2016
UPDATED: MAR 20, 2016 Draft at the Irish Pol. Hazy honey amber pour. Large frothy off-white head. Tons of lace. Sticky herbal citrus hop resins. Both malty and hoppy. Spicy caramel rye malts. Notes of mandarin peels, apricot pits, golden raisins, plantains, burnt butter, light brown sugar, cinnamon, horehound and eucalyptus. Dank. Flavors are a bit murky but feels nicely unrefined.

HighlanderOne (1330) - York, SC via NJ, South Carolina, USA - MAR 5, 2016
Poured from bottle. Aroma of hop, pineapple and spice. Appearance is cloudy dark gold with lacing head. Tasting more citrus than pine hops, very tasty malt with both rye and sweet flavors, pepper, grass, trace of banana. Palate is quite drinkable - not overly hopped and well balanced. Overall, well done. Unique and enjoyable.

Sample @ PGH Beerfest. Light brownish amber. Hint of rye whiskey in the aroma. Fairly smooth with a light rye flavor that isn’t too overpowering. Pretty good.
