An amber beer with a nice though disappearing white head. The aroma is sweet with primary notes of caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel and hops, leading to a dry end. The body is thin. There is something weird about this beer, that I can’t put down in words, but draws my impression down. Travlr (24913) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - OCT 3, 2013
Draft. Hazy amber color, medium white head. Aroma of lightly toasted caramel. Taste is malt forward, subtle bread dough. Leighton (21298) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - OCT 2, 2009
Bottle pour, Burlington Hilton. We have a decent Oktoberfest beer in the Otter Creek offering, but not one I would select again if I had other options. Warm maple syrup brown with a medium head, aroma of sweet malts. Taste is sweet, with notes of Autumn spices. Pretty smooth finish. bhensonb (15241) - Woodland, California, USA - AUG 28, 2011
Bottle from Half Time. Pours amber with a creamy near-white head. Aroma is sort of malty mixed with buckwheat. Med body. The flavor is malty with very little hop in the balance. Detectable anyway. After a bit there is some bitter. I’d put this down as malty lawnmower beer. For those late Autumn mows when the temp is low. argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - OCT 31, 2004
Lightly hazed amber with smallish beige head. Aroma is moderately sweet, brown sugar, bread, some chocolate, almost pastryish. Taste is medium sweet, but otherwise could pass for slightly carbonated water until mid-body, when some chocolate and mild Tettnang creep in. Watery light-medium body, undercarbonated.

Golden ale with a thick offwhite head. Light infected aroma. Floral hops taste with light malts. Medium bodied. (October 2004). Drake (13741) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - OCT 7, 2008
12 oz. bottle from Sam’s Quik Shop in Durham. Pours a hazy golden brown with a one finger head and low head retention. Toasted malts in the nose with some acrid, metallic vibes. Aroma is weak malts dominated by a tart hoppiness. And good lord, is that adobo? Medium bodied, and a poor offering from Otter Creek. BeerandBlues2 (13326) - Escondido, California, USA - OCT 29, 2013
Bottle at home. Pours clear amber with a small, frothy off-white head, short retention with spare lacing. Aroma is toast and nutty malt, earthy and spicy hops, and light notes of dates. Flavor is malt dominant with light hops and bitterness, somewhat dirty malt, almost endol in flavor with a sweet finish. Medium body and light carbonation. bu11zeye (13029) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - OCT 10, 2009
( 12oz bottle ) Pours a clear amber body with a small off-white head. Aroma of nuts, toasted grain, wet leaves, and caramel. Flavor of toasted grain, grass, earth, and caramel malt. Dogbrick (13027) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - SEP 10, 2003
2002 Bottle: This really is not what I have come to expect from an Oktoberfest beer. That's not to say this was an awful beer, just not the usual style you would expect under than moniker. Copper-colored with a somewhat creamy off-white head. Hops are predominant in the aroma, but there is some malt and caramel in the background. Medium-bodied with flavors of hops, grain and malt. The aftertaste is lightly hopped and a little spicy. Interesting take on the Oktoberfest style, but really nothing special.
