Summer Wheat Ale is a highly drinkable, light bodied ale. The use of wheat and careful hopping produce a beer with a flavor that is slightly tart, with a citrus-like finish.

Overall a pretty good summer for me. Light yet crisp flavor. Didnt taste overdone with wheat. Slight hop bite but not much bitterness lingering. Spritzey lemon.

Reviewed from notes. The appearance was a clear yellow colored body with a half finger white fizzy head, barely any carbonation seen rising. The smell was based around the citrus with some hops and honey in the background (both are barely there). The taste was kinda bland between the citrus, hops and honey. Im just wondering if the blend between the three was just not combined right (I dont know)? A fair amount of floral tones came out as the beer warmed. The palate was vey light, slightly watery and harsh on the tongue. Overall, well, its light (makes a good summer beer), but this is nothing special and has an unusual blandness that doesnt excite me. Sorry Otter Creek, try again.

8/9/2012. From bottle. Bland, watery wheat ale. Straw yellow with a white head. Aromas of wheat, dough and grass. Citrus and wheat flavors but very muted.

355ml bottle. Lightly filtered, gold, head barely lasts. Lemony, cardboard, hint of apricot and banana. Taste is fruit sweetness, slight herbal hops. Body is a little watery. Overall, not bad.

Bottle. This is a really thin wheat that tastes almost dusty. Not a beer worth trying.

Medium gold and a little cloudy. Light, yet flavorful. Tart & citrusy, complemented by a fair amount of hop aroma and bitterness. Drinkable, but not in a watered-down way.

Appearance is a medium white head with mostly clear amber. Aroma is a pretty bland malt. Taste has some wheat, but pretty light. Overall not the best summer beer out there.

Enjoying this one in Brooklyn. Pours an average golden colour with a small white cap and not much lace. The last pour creates a haziness. Cereal malt scent with a little hop. Same for taste. Grainy with hints of hop, but not much bitterness. Does the job for what it is suppose to do - refresh for summer.

12 oz bottle. Pours a clear pale yellow body with a small fizzy white head that faded pretty quickly to a thin ring. The nose is slightly grassy with some light floral hops, a touch of light soapiness as well. The flavor is pretty light, on the drier side with just a bit of hoppiness. Finishes with a bit of doughy malt with some hay like notes from the wheat. Mouthfeel is light bodied with fizzy carbonation, fairly short finish. Not a bad beer, but not one Id buy more than a single of.

12oz Bottle, poured at Real Ales for Hope - Providence, RI. Aroma was a kind of skanky, wet wheat sugar. Flavors didnt fare much better, with a mediocre, doggy under-fermented wheat palate. Sprizty, soggy, and unexciting.
