12 oz bottle poured into a snifter. Pours almost black like motor oil with a touch of tan head. Aroma is roasted malt and maybe some bitter chocolate. Taste follows the nose with roasted flavors and smokiness initially and then it transitions to a nice bitter finish. Body is on the heavy side of medium and very creamy. A decent imperial stout.
On tap at brewery in Middlebury, Vermont. Pours opaque black with a small dark tan creamy head. Aroma: dark chocolate, dark dried fruit. Flavor: dark chocolate, milk chocolate, figs, dates, molasses, smoke. Mouthfeel: creamy, sinfully rich. Bebum (986) - Massachusetts, USA - JUL 30, 2016
Opaque, very dark copper/black, towering dark mousse.
Intense, alcoholic and coffee nose.
Very full body, assertive flavor, hot, creamy mouthfeel on account of tight mousse, lingering and tasty aftertaste.
Bittersweet, tangy, well balanced.
Strong coffee & vanilla flavor.
No fault, great stout despite the cheap lable.

Pours black as used motor oil with a thin, creamy, cappuccino head. Nose is earthy with notes of coffee, caramel, and roasted nuts. Taste is dark and rich with excellent dark chocolate bitterness. Thick and creamy smooth mouthfeel. Moderate carbonation. Excellent RIS. Gespuccian (141) - Wisconsin, USA - MAY 26, 2016
Roast and dark fruits on the nose. Pours jet black, with little head, befitting the style. Tastes like dark roast coffee, malt, maybe some cocoa. Palate is light on body, though, for such a big beer, which is slightly disappointing.

Delicious! Black pour with lasting, clingy brown foam. Aroma is rich, with lots of roast and dark cocoa. Flavor is similar - very roasty, but never too bitter, with lots of chocolate notes and a mild sweetness mid-sip. Incredibly smooth from start to very clean finish, with just a slight lingering cocoa. Easily the best RIS I’ve had.

For a RIS bought in a gas station, this really delivers. Otter Creek has gotten the highlights of Russian Imperial Stout nailed here. There are notes of roast coffee and caramel/toffee, and the mouthfeel is velvety smooth. Not as aggressively roasted as some imperial stouts I’ve had, but the caramel malts are showcased really well. Overall -- very, very good. jsporrer (1024) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 6, 2016
Poured from a bottle. Pours pitch black with a thin tan head of foam. Roasted malt, dark fruit, dark chocolate, and a hint of coffee aroma. Syrupy, clingy, with a slightly oily texture. Nice strong lasting flavors. Not harsh or bitter. Very smooth finish. Hides the alcohol well. Solid. rouhlas (3615) - GREECE - JAN 4, 2016
650 ml bottle shared at the Hoppy Pub, Thessaloniki. Black color with beige brown head. Roasted malty aroma, coffee, instant cold coffee, licorice, dark fruits, light chocolate. Sweet and bitter taste like aroma. Medium oily body with soft carbonation. pineypower (3318) - Ocean County, New Jersey, USA - JAN 2, 2016
Bottle, pours out black with a thin tan head. Aroma is of roast, chocolate, some light sweetness, some earth. Taste is solid, complex roast, chocolate, caramel, silky smooth body, some light burnt earth, mild coffee notes and a touch of syrup and some bitterness on the finish. Really solid, like what Otter Creek is doing lately. Quick3Beers (1229) - East Falmouth, Massachusetts, USA - DEC 30, 2015
Pours a black from a bottle. Not much aroma, just a general roastiness. Flavor is a nice coffee truffle, rich, more bitter than sweet. Good beer.
