Otter Creek is a top notch New England micro, and they have created a top notch porter. A rich roasted barley malt flavor, beautifully balanced with hop. Nice dark black color, with a nice creamy tan head. Great roasted malt and hop aroma. Overall, the best porter I've found.
By far the best porter I have ever tasted. Great dark color with a smoky flavor and aroma. Rdeclan99 (5) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - FEB 5, 2001 does not count

First experienced on tap at Mad Mountain Tavern, this porter convinced me, in a good way, that there was soot in the recipe. One of my all-time favorite porters, it’s with great sadness that I learn it is no longer being produced. For that matter, MMT is closed as well. So goes the impermanence of life I suppose.

This is an outstanding beer. It looks as a porter should and tastes better than it should. The simple flavor actually helps this beer out as it allows you to concentrate on just one thing, enjoying the beer. Waughbrew (18) - Portsmouth, Rhode Island, USA - JAN 25, 2003
A superb porter, as should be expected from this very good brewery. earthy grainy roasty aroma gives you a good hint of what is in store. The flavor has the perfect balance of sweetness, hop bitterness, and bittersweet barley characteristics. Easily one of my favorites. bdgf06 (27) - Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 11, 2012
Great color and character. Smooth aroma without the bitter aftertaste of some porters. Comparable to Guinness without heaviness and better flavor.
