Otter Creeks Twentieth Anniversary Ale is a homage to our long-running flagship Copper Ale. With four times the malts and hops, the traditional flavor is a bigger, bolder and more complex ale that can be savored for years to come. It features a blend of six malts with German & American hops and is a celebration of Otter Creeks 20 years of craft brewed ales in Middlebury, Vermont

This was poured into a snifter. The appearance was a dark brown close to black color with a slim fingers worth of white to off white foamy head that dissipated pretty quickly. The smell starts off with sweet milk and dark chocolate and a light coffee to balance underneath slightly. The taste was mainly sweet through the milk and dark chocolate. A light sweet sticky chocolate aftertaste runs into a sticky sweet cocoa finish. On the palate, this one sat about a medium on the body with a fair sipping quality about it. Carbonation seemed to be barely there - Im thinking the bottle was a bit old, eh, no worries. Overall, Id say that this was a pretty good American Strong Ale that I would have again.

Bottle that I had in my beer cellar for 2 years. Poured dark amber with a small off-white head, no lace.. The malt aroma was caramel with light hops. The body was medium texture and creamy, with soft carbonation. There was a sweet flavor that I couldnt quite place, but there was a very nice balance between the malts and hops. The alcohol was partly hidden by the malt. Very warming.

A nice copper ale that has a bold, complex malty taste. A bit chewy but would never guess its 12%
