Summertime requires a crisp, refreshing brew to beat the heat. If you can’t be soaking up the lakeside sun or cannonballing into your favorite swimming hole, then pop the top on our Vermont Lager and enjoy the next best thing.

Our Green Mountain homage to the classic European-style lager, we used German Pilsen malt and, in true Vermont fashion, a whole lot of Noble hops to give off a big hop aroma that makes this summer seasonal a real head-turner.

Nice overall aroma and appearance. A bit weak in flavor reminded me of a lighter beer but without the aftertaste. A nice bite at the finish.

Light foul, farty nose; gold-yellow color; low head. Medium bodied malt base and not very hoppy but an OK balance.

Pours a browned yellow with a tall white head. Nose is odd. Not straight hops or malt dominated but some off aromas. The taste wasn't much better. Some weakened malt and hops along with a molded grain tongue. Finished with some of the same off flavors, albeit weakened during the aftertaste. OK at best.

slight hazy, pale golden color, thin white head. aroma is quite malty with some hops apparent in the background, lightly bready, cardboardy. cardboard in the flavor, some butter, feels a little dry. light mouthfeel. even a little bit of alcohol in the finish.

Weak nose. Honey gold color, little head. Weak hoppiness. "Good Session beer" Shelley

Bottled 9/25/03.Much like a thin version of their copper.Aroma of some very german malt and hops even.Smooth/full for a lager(do these guys make lagers?)More like a pils/helles(yet grainy & off).Better than many in this style.

dirtymike (2016) - Manchester, New Hampshire, USA - DEC 8, 2003
Light copper in color.Bready aroma.Hoppy, fruity, slightly buttery.malty flavor. Finishes very dry.

Volgon (2761) - Manchester, New Hampshire, USA - DEC 4, 2003
Light orange with a big bubbled head. Biscuit aroma (more of an ale thing, but I'm not complaining). Solid mouthfeel, ends a bit sweet. Not bad, but if this a lager, I'm Batman.

An ok beer. better than the other crap-ola lagers i've had tonight, but still not worth drinking again. the light spiciness in the taste was pretty ok.

Reid (2676) - Salem, Oregon, USA - NOV 15, 2003
Comes in the obligatory 12 oz brown bottle..simple label. Nice appearance for this lager golden yellow with a small but persistant pure white head..nice lacing. I loved the aroma of this lager..one of the best of its class..nice spicy hoppiness..more than balanced by a a yummy toffee malt aroma..beautiful . this is a full flavoured malty style lager..no pilsner here..and i love it the full sweetness of the malt is replaced eventually by a nice residual hop bitterness. Very nice creamy smooth feeling on the tongue.
