COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Summertime requires a crisp, refreshing brew to beat the heat. If you can’t be soaking up the lakeside sun or cannonballing into your favorite swimming hole, then pop the top on our Vermont Lager and enjoy the next best thing.

Our Green Mountain homage to the classic European-style lager, we used German Pilsen malt and, in true Vermont fashion, a whole lot of Noble hops to give off a big hop aroma that makes this summer seasonal a real head-turner.

They nailed the style, definitely tastes like a German Pils. Bit skunky, crisp malt bill, slight hoppiness. It’s alright, considering it’s a lager.

Bottle: Pours slightly hazy, yellow-gold with a small white head. Lemon, grain aroma. Taste is grassy, pils, lightly bitter lemon malt. Pretty good...true to style.

12oz bottle, from Jungle Jim’s in Fairfield. Date on the bottle reads 02/21/14. Hoping that’s not a best-by date (doesn’t seem to be the case from the first impression). Mostly clear golden color. Good bigger white head, leaves good thicker lace. Medium-plus body. Smooth, kind of soft, crisp, lighter carbonation. Nice bready malt character to this. Good pilsnery light pepperiness. Hint of lemon. Tasty aroma on this, as well as a satisfying full body while still being exceptionally easy-drinking. Much better than expected so far. Nice sweet taste, and the perfect amount of light bitterness, with a great amount of light pepperiness in the finish.

Pours light with a lingering white head. Very German, big German malt taste, surprised they do this as a summer seasonal, enjoyed it in the fall and it seems more like a fall seasonal. Enjoyable.

12 oz bottle. Pours a bright, clear yellow with a fingers worth of white head. Biscuit aroma with some subtle hop scents. Bready malt on the taste making it a bit on the sweet side tempered with earthy hop bitterness. Light bodied with a lingering bitterness.

Draft. Hazy pale yellow color, fluffy white head, spider web lacing. Aroma of rising sourdough bread, white pepper, straw. Taste is peppery bitter lemon and straw. Nice.

4oz sample at RFD DC. Pours a clear gold with some soapy, white head. Those are the nicest words that can be used to describe this swill. Nose of skunk and garbage. Flavor is the same, some wet, clumpy yard grass too. Cardboard. Trash. Cloying finish. Catastrophe.

draft at Coles, paler straw/golden pour. grassy hops, simple flavor, crisp clean. fits the style nicely

Light yellow color, medium white head. Medium to high carbonation. Nice bitterness with some spruce & grassy hops. Tastes like a real Czech pils. Malts are bready. A nice session beer.
