12oz bottle in a shaker. Pours deep amber with a lacy, light tan head. Aroma of caramel and bready malts, and some citrusy/piney hops. Flavor about the same, with a little toffee in the finish. Average texture. A decent red ale. gsmitty80 (2130) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 10, 2012
I thought this was a very smooth and nicely balanced red ale that had some good bold malt flavors and not too much hops. BroSpud (2307) - , Massachusetts, USA - MAR 16, 2012
12oz bottle. Pours a dark amber with a tan head. Fairly average red ale with slightly more hops. OK but not that memorable. Climbrew (28) - - MAR 9, 2012
Nice malty red ale, some hops and a nice bitterness, long lasting bitter finish

Bottle at hvalley. Aroma of floral hop and grain malt. Medlight bitter. Ave carbonation. Has a more grain earth feel, but a good hop balance. Ok.

Bottle from Half Time. Pours quite ruddy with a beige smear. Aroma is mild roast caramel. Near med body. Flavor is quite sweet in the beginning - there’s a hint of grapefruit rind, and there’s enough bitter to balance, but...
There’s also a suggestion of chocolate I seem to imagine in "red" ales. For me this is neither here nor there. I find it a bit muddled. JFGrind (2080) - Glenside, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 19, 2012
UPDATED: FEB 28, 2012 Wall of bitterness, copper body, pine, caramel and even a smoked flavor. Decent Amber Ale, I like what Otter Creek is brewing. hivemind (934) - New York, New York, USA - FEB 14, 2012
Tap @ Amsterdam Tavern w Erica. Pours very dark red to brown with quickly-vanishing beige head. Aroma is slightly hoppy - nothing worth noting. Palate is thin with decent balance and a hop bitterness that kicks in late. If it’s going to be this dry, it should have some bolder flavors or something standout. Not that great. argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - FEB 14, 2012
12oz bottle. Crystal clear copper body with small off-white head. Aroma is moderately sweet, caramel, some grapefruit, light spicy. Taste is moderately sweet, caramel, grapefruit/orange. Light-medium body, light stickiness. guzzler67 (1696) - Hanover, Maryland, USA - FEB 7, 2012
Clear, mahogany appearance with a small, off white head and decent lacing. Subtle resinous hop aroma. Woodsy flavors, with the piney hops being a little more pronounced than in many amber ales, especially in the aftertaste. Caramel malts lend balance about mid-gulp. Medium bodied, nicely carbonated mouthfeel and a lingering finish.
