I’m normally not a big fan of ESB’s.....but the guy at the beer store sold me on it. Pours out a somewhat murky dark caramel color with a tiny white head. Aroma slightly bitter, little toffee. Taste is sweet malts, toffee, caramel and slight fruit. Finish is a dry and bitter. I liked this one.

Gethinbeer (2452) - Nova Scotia, CANADA - MAY 28, 2007
Toffee syrup and chocolate aroma. Amber in colour with a thin white head. Nutty flavour, malt and barley with a rich smokey taste. Very nice beer, tasty and smooth to drink. Very enjoyable.

It was hard to discern the appearance since it came in a brown bottle, but what I could see looked quite drinkable. Aroma is strongly malty upon first opening the bottle. Flavor is thin but pleasantly malty, with fruity hints and a smooth finish that has a slight hoppy-bitter undertone. Pleasant and refreshing to drink.

Dark red copper with a an off white head. Very mild nose of toffee, bananas, and hops. Round on the palate with just enough carbonation to keep it from tasting flat. Not a whole lot going on here except the nice straightforward bitter hops on the finish. I taste maybe a hint of cherry where the malt is supposed to be, that’s about it. Simple, but I’ve had a lot worse.

Fukito (1059) - Santiago, CHILE - MAR 30, 2007
Bottle at Proeflokaal, march 07, shared with that dutchman, Jbrus. Very nice, bittersweet spicy aroma. Great spicy, fruity, nutty flavor with some light caramel notes. Chewy, biscuity malt and a nice filling sensation. Golden, shinny color and a nice white head. Very nice chatty ESB with a nutty touch

Bottled. Light herbal and bit fruity but faint aroma. Amber color, off-white head, good lace. Caramel increasing to woody/nutty, almost roasted, fruity, average body. Very nice, flavorful, refreshing.
