Orange brown color, cloudy. Salty aroma with cookie dough and licorice. Malty, salty flavor with licorice, cinnamon and cookies. A pleasure to drink! tiggmtl (4545) - East York, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 19, 2006
Wet earth, caramel, toffee, chocolate and molasses in the sweet aroma. Clear deep mahogany coloured body is topped by a fine bubbled and lasting, off white head that coats the glass. Strong malt forward flavour evokes toffee, caramel, chocolate with a hint of butterscotch. Light bitterness offsets all that sweetness. Medium body with fair carbonation that is gently effervescent. Cask. I think I had this at The Old Inn in Widecombe on the Moor. Storm (2684) - Amager, DENMARK - AUG 22, 2006
50 cl bottle. No yeast at the bottom. Reddish brown colour with a little head. Nutty and malty aroma with notes of hops. Very tasty flavour of malt, alcohol and with notes of hops and toffee.

Bottle. Off-white head. Hazy amber body. Fruity malt aroma. Caramel and sweet berries and the end a bit of bitterness suiting the beer very well. Joeh (2049) - Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - JUL 25, 2006
I’m not sure this is really bottle conditioned, as there was no sediment, their other beers are pasteurised and no mention of it being bottle conditioned on the label. Pours a dark amber or brown colour and no head at all. At first it has a heavy chill haze but it clears completely half way down. Aroma is fruit malt, caramel. To taste much the same, quite strongly flavoured with sweet malt and a bit of jam, very low carbonation. hughie (3996) - Bedford, Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - JUL 7, 2006
Amber, hazy, clearing slowly. Malty aroma. Taste is sweet, strong and full of caramel and bitterness. Utterly delicious and by far the best Otter beer I have tried so far. bhensonb (15208) - Woodland, California, USA - JUN 25, 2006
Aroma of malt and fruit. Amber color with a great tan head. It persists. Flavor is fruit and malt. Malt persists. This reminds me more of an American brown than an English ESB. Finish is malt, tempered by bitter. leaparsons (10551) - Wigston, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - APR 6, 2006
Bottle. Hazy amber with a small head. Aromas are toffee malts with chocolate and earthy hops. Sticky sweet and fruity but not cloying. Flavour are sweet toffee and caramel malts with Autumn fruit. Soft in flavour but everything is well balanced. A good ESB.
