Fukito (1059) - Santiago, CHILE - MAR 30, 2007
Bottle at Proeflokaal, march 07, shared with that dutchman, Jbrus. Very nice, bittersweet spicy aroma. Great spicy, fruity, nutty flavor with some light caramel notes. Chewy, biscuity malt and a nice filling sensation. Golden, shinny color and a nice white head. Very nice chatty ESB with a nutty touch

NJBeerman013 (1054) - Hamilton Twp., New Jersey, USA - DEC 26, 2007
Bottle. A very drinkable ESB. This beer is a burnt amber in color, with little to no head. It has a floral aroma with a good crispness. The flavor is fairly malty. There are also hints of molasses, and a well rounded toasty character. Enjoyable.

Slayer85 (1051) - Firenze, ITALY - FEB 10, 2007
Bottled. A cloudy amber beer with a big and persistent head. Aroma of hops. The flavour is malty and toffeish, with a distinct bitterness in the end. Medium/full body. Very nice.

estoppel (1028) - Buffalo, New York, USA - SEP 16, 2007
Bottle. Lightish amber body, minimal carbonation, what head manifests contains large, loose bubbles and does not last long. Malty nose with a hint of the Fuggles. Thin body, smooth, quaffable, mild bitterness, some Fuggles notes.

Well I thought I liked esb’s then maybe not. then there was this one. Pretty good. Not overall what I look for in appearance but good bitter taste. Would enjoy a bit more hops.

Philym (1003) - St Neots, Cambridgeshire, ENGLAND - APR 29, 2014
Appearance: Clear copper with 2 finger thick ivory head. Aroma: Chocolate malt, bread, floral, treacle, umami. Taste: Medium sweetness and bitterness with low/medium sourness. Palate: Thick smooth texture, light/medium body, average carbonation, lingering dry, raisin, prune, chocolate malt, bready, treacle, herbal finish. Comments: Lovely and glass lace.

urbnhautebourg (997) - Annapolis, Maryland, USA - JUL 7, 2008
Nothing very special here. Caramel predominates, but it has a certain crispness to it which was somewhat interesting. No head. Sometimes I find a real winner in these English ales, with their maltiness and their earthiness, they will present some underlying flavors, subtleties which make them memorable. This beer is not one of those.

1/18/08: Bottle.
Tea brown body accompanied by a tea-like nose. Mild flavored and bitter. Pretty straightforward and good.

dkoonce (911) - People’s Republic of Athens, Ohio, USA - MAY 8, 2009
Pours a deep copper/brown, without much of a head. The aroma is very malty, with some citrus notes. Heavy, with a sweet malt and molasses flavor. A bit flat in the finish
