Pours like a brewed ice tea, complete with tea-ish head.
Scent is caramel, pepper, dark fruit.
Taste is very bready and dry...
Sweet front, bitter back.
A very good ale. Beer5000 (6674) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - JUN 12, 2007
500ml bottle. Slightly hazy mahogany red body with a beige head. Fruity, malty aroma. Flavor is sweet malt, licorices, slightly roasted and caramel. Really nice bitter. berkshirejohn (6611) - Bracknell, Berkshire, ENGLAND - JAN 24, 2007
50cl bottle from Waitrose. Reddish orange in colour with a thin ring of white head; intense fruity aroma with traces of cherry, peach and tangerine; full in the mouth with a rich caramel , malty, toasty flavour; lasting bitter fruity aftertaste - an excellent bitter. Poured a light brown color with an off white head. Aroma was dried fruits and some caramel and biscuts. Flavor was actually alot fuller than I had expected, nice mleding of sweet malts and some hop bittering and biscut flavors. thedm (6306) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - FEB 1, 2008
This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a small sized head of frothy fine to large sized tan colored bubbles that were mostly diminishing and left behind a slightly hazy softly carbonated brown colored body and a poor lacing. The weak aroma was malty bready and dough. The crisp mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start and at the finish. The weird off the mark flavor contained notes of malt and hops. Not one that I would likely buy again.

Bottle. Copper to near dark brown pour. Very murky. Small random bubbles gathered together on the right side of the glass. Nose is caramel, sweet malts, flowery hops and apple skins. Taste is hoppy and floral with more apple skins, soft caramel and sweet malts. Very bitter taste and lingering bitterness throughout. Body is soft and light-medium. Carbonation is there but seemingly faded. Ends with more caramel, sweet malts, apple, floral hops and some earthy hops. More bitterness. Rastacouere (6177) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - NOV 23, 2007
Lightly hazy dark copper pour covered by an irregular and small white head. Sandy and lightly earthy nose with a pleasantly minty hop twist that contrast with the toasty and biscuity malts whose sweetness escapes the hops’ radar. Medium bodied, moderately high carbonation. Good. Emil (6064) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - MAR 14, 2006
CASK at Charlies. Amber colour with a small tan head. Malty, Fruity aroma and a light sweet fruity taste. Medium body with a sweet dry finish. ganache (6029) - New Jersey, USA - SEP 28, 2007
Bottle. Sweet fruity malt aroma, yeasty apple cider with bubblegum. Opaque cloudy brown pour with a delicious creamy beige head. Medially bitter taste, nuts and strong caramel mixed with light roast and earthy toffee. Soft mouthfeel, saliva-inducing flavor and a medium-thick body. Abrupt dry finish and aftertaste. No carbonation here at all. Somewhat vegetal tone, in line with a pumpkin beer but without that specific flavor. All malt and no hops. Very drinkable, but not really a standalone brew. thornecb (6020) - Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA - OCT 21, 2007
Pours hazy amber into an English pint. White head quickly subsides to pancake surface. Caramel and resin aromas. Silky with upfront caramel and a lasting sour malt finish.
