COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottled, filtered, Occasional;
The purest spring water drawn from the River Otter is used to brew this traditional 19th Century-style IPA with a bit of a twist. Handcrafted with English floor malts and our very own yeast, we have added five of the US Pacific Northwest’s most citrus-flavored, aromatic whole cone hops to create a new, complex, highly drinkable beer.

3fourths (9405) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - APR 3, 2008
500ml bottle shared by Tom. Clear yellow/amber colored body. Sharp honey pine nose. Dry, crisp, oily, properly bitter, a bit too syrupy and sweet, but clean and sharp, which is nice. Some tea leaves and thyme (and even some celery/vegetal/fuel thing) tasted in the finish takes a bit away from what otherwise is a decent beer that I could enjoy drinking great quantities of.

radagast83 (8827) - Arlington, Virginia, USA - AUG 11, 2008
Bottle brought from Georgia by a friend. Pours a deep dark orange color with a frothy, white head. Aroma is citrus, floral, and almost sweet malt. Flavor is rich, hop bitterness, with a lasting finish. Great beer.

JaBier (8561) - Capital City, Ohio, USA - DEC 27, 2008
Sample at the Hopsnobbery Collective tasting on 12/10/08: Pours a cloudy amber with a minimal head. Dank aroma of tart fruit and hops. More malt than hop in the flavor and is also pretty tart. Not great.

3.6
PorterPounder (8500) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - MAY 19, 2008
Savannah, Ga. - Habersham Beverage Warehouse - 500 ml bottle. Pours dark orangeish, copper color with a sticky, slightly off-white medium thick head that leaves a decent bit of lacing. Minty aroma with some raw cake mix thrown in there. Delectable bitterness with some faint citrus notes, some cookie dough and a bit of spearmint. Mouthfeel is of the appropriate thickness and carbonation for the style. Very enjoyable.
