Cask Pint at Wibbas Down (JDW), Wimbledon, London in Apr 2010 - Dark Reddish Brown in colour. Malty; roast malts, caramel, coffee, hint of chocolate. Fruity; apple, dark fruit. Hoppy; grassy and slightly earthy hops. Very tasty for low ABV. Roasty malts and earthy hops. Dry roasty finish. Very Nice Mild! (2010-04) tombyars (1774) - Saltcoats, SCOTLAND - FEB 22, 2012
Tasted this in The Last Post, Paisley (JDW) in April 2010. Cask, handpump dispense. Dark ruby red in colour with a thin white head. Thin but creamy mouthfeel and good lacing. Dark malts give a strong biscuit base with sweet treacle toffee and raisin fruit. Slight prickle of dusty hop resins noted in the short and dry aftertaste. Finish is malty and sweet with drinking chocolate flavours present. A fantastic session mild and well recommended. ndon (857) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUL 4, 2011
Cask @ Market Porter. Pours a dark copper, with a small white head. Slight roast, toffee, light caramel, slight hint of peach, but with a flat finish. DruncanVeasey (8326) - Nr NUNEATON, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - FEB 14, 2011
Cask handpull, SIBA Champions Fest 2011, The Canalhouse, Nottingham. Pale chestnut with copper edges and a slim ivory collar. Very milky mocha and toasted wholemeal aroma, with some jammy hedgerow fruit. Mouth a lovely rounded coffee-meets-raisin type-thing, dusting with chocolate. Some really good, Germanic malt fullness. Can easily see why this is rated so highly. fonefan (51574) - VestJylland, DENMARK - NOV 24, 2010

Clear medium to dark amber color with a large, creamy, good lacing, fully lasting, off-white to beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, caramel, dusty coffee. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat.
Cask. madmitch76 (25801) - , Essex, ENGLAND - JUN 23, 2010
Aroma is malt and chocolate, auburn, tiny toffee head. Flavour is a beautiful coupling of malt and hops, achieving a fine chocolate happening. Light bodied, very well balanced, bitterness is something to behold. A meal in a glass, which is light yet satisfying. Great Session!
16th April 2010. Clear brown beer. Light semi soft and semi dry palate. Mild tangy fruit - orange and subtle plum underpins a little mild toasty malt. Easy drinking and inoffensive. RichardW (1813) - Carlisle, Cumbria, ENGLAND - MAY 27, 2010
Cask, King’s Head, Carlisle. Missed this at the last JDW fest so was pleased to see it reappear elsewhere. A rich and bitter brew, with loads of roasted tangy malt. Aftertaste is creamy and satisfying and a pleasant clean white head on top. Well bodied, one of the best milds of late. DJMonarch (9179) - Northwich, Cheshire, ENGLAND - MAY 24, 2010
Cask Handpump at the Paramount JDW, Manchester 25/04/2010 imdownthepub (15380) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - MAY 15, 2010
Some roast aroma. Copper coloured smooth on the palate and fruity with a hint of dryness in a slightly burnt roast finish.
Cask conditioned at The Grapes, Oxford. Black with tan head, ruby hue. This could well be the best lower ABV mild I have had. Beautifully balanced between a rich fruity malt with a summer fruit character and a good level of hop for a little bite. Wow was all we could say when we first set into our pints. I’m so glad I had this in great condition, fantastic stuff Otter.
