Poured from a growler into a chimay glass
Appearance – hazy orange/gold color, which formed a whispy
head upon pouring from the growler into a Chimay chalice glass
Smell – Sweet apple smell, evokes a welcoming to this brew.
Taste – Fruit; bananas and a bit of citrus. Apple of coarse but less then would be expected. A good spice flavor for a Belgium with the perfect alcohol aftertaste – not too overpowering, but warming.
Mouthfeel – lightly carbonated with a lush and full feeling.
Overall – A very tasty Belgium. Reminiscent and a close competitor for Chimay Blanche although with slightly more fruit flavor and
Overall slightly a bit under its predecessor. Very good brew overall and one I would recommend.

Draft. Pours hazy golden with off-white head. Nose is apple, malt, yeast. Tastes of apple malt mild funk and yeasty notes, but the apples seem to dull the funk and spiciness of the tripel somewhat. Still, an interesting twist on this style. merc7186 (3160) - North Tonawanda, New York, USA - OCT 19, 2013

Overall, a good beer but a somewhat weak belgian triple with mild apple traits. vtafro (7453) - Wayne, New Jersey, USA - MAY 28, 2009
Tap at the brewpub. Interesting beer was not the flavor i was expecting. Did hide the alcohol pretty well. adrian910ss (2606) - Doylestown, PA, USA - MAR 15, 2009

On tap at Ottos: Pours a transparent deep bronze golden with a thin-lacing wispy white head. Aroma of earthy hops and sweet grainy caramel malt with some biscuity doughy Belgian yeastiness. Starts with good fullness and sweet toasty pale malt with some yeasty esters and light fruity character. Finishes drier and slightly warming with light apple tartness and peppery clove notes. A pretty interesting brew. Rciesla (5498) - Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA - MAR 11, 2009
Draft at Otto’s. Pours a orange golden body with a white head. Apple skins, dusty fruit. Mildly sweet and dry with a sticky apple feel, had a dry astringent flavor. tronraner (2459) - Walland, Tennessee, USA - FEB 19, 2009
Draught at the brewpub. Pours gold with thin white head. The aroma is light and fruity--banana, apple, pear, even a hint of apricot--and a good dose of yeast. The flavor is banana and yeast. There is a little bit of a dry apple note in there, but not much. Overall the flavor is dominated by the yeast, which is ok, because I like yeasty tripels. The finish is dried fruit and crackers. Decent. dpjuart (1112) - Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 7, 2009
Hand bottle courtesy of Nate. Pours yellow/orange with foamy/filmy white head. Nose is honey and flowery with mild jasmine and lavender, also a few bright citrus notes. Spicy notes from the yeast lead into a biscuit-esque flavor that’s overtaken by apple that is accentuated by the fruity esters from the yeast, slight cherry and pear. Finish is dry and rather bitter, with some apple notes sticking to the walls of the mouth. A slight cotton candy taste in the finish. Moderate watery body with medium carb. Nice palate. Slight alcohol warmth and flavor. I’m a fan. Naka (719) - Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 31, 2008
From Growler. Pours a clear golden effervescent color with a small fizzy white head that is gone after a few seconds. The nose is a flowery perfume honey yeast with some citrusy sour notes. The flavor has a spicy yeast flavor, honey, pils, apple skin, and a lot of alcohol. The apple is not too sweet... it just blends nicely with the rest of the flavors. Has a pretty rich body with a very tight carbonation, even though it has been in a growler overnight. A nice brew.
