An American pale ale brewed with Centennial hops and hopbacked with Cascade, it's a real refresher that has a spicy, citrus aroma and a slightly nutty malt flavor.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear orange with a white head. Aroma of toasted malt, caramel malt, and light fruits. Flavor of caramel malt and fruits, bready malt, with a sweet finish. An ok pale ale, certainly drinkable. 6/4/6/4/14 [3.4/5]

Bottle. Caramelly and piney hop aroma. Clear orange amber colour. Small stable tan head. The flavour is a bit like the aroma, but more teaish.

12oz bottle. Purchased while travelling. Very tasty brew for this style. Great session beer. Good caramel taste with just enough hops and bitterness to complete the picture.

Nice dark amber appearance, cidery looking, not much to the head or lacing. Nose is classic pine tar and grapefruit. Palate is similar, a touch watery, but nice balance of hoppiness and malt. Mouthfeel is sticky, with a bit of toffee in the taste too. Good.

Draft at KClingers. Copper with a thin tip, this seems like a standard American pale ale, crisp with a little appley hoppiness. Good. (#3908, 5/21/2010)

22oz bottle. Pours a clear, bronze-golden body with a finger-width, frothy, off-white head that dissipates quickly and leaves a moderate lacing. Aroma is citrusy pines and florals with a nice, moderately sweet caramel. A bit of an amber nut, grain to the malts as well. Flavor is nice, but not as protruding as the aroma led me to believe. A well rounded, moderate caramel sweetness with a light nut. A moderate floral grapefruit and orange citrus with a light pine bitterness at the end. The malts get a bit bready as it warms and lose some of the citrus intensity. Finishes slightly dry after a medium, smooth, rounded body. Moderate length aftertaste. Overall, a nice pale ale. Not the most extreme, but an enjoyable hop and malt presence and great body. Smooth, well rounded, and very drinkable.

Sample at the brewpub. Clear copper pour with a thin off-white head. Orangy nose with some sweet malt. Malty flavor first with some citrusy hops and a bitter, yet thin finish. Was hoping for more in the flavor after the aroma was so good, but not bad.
